Claymore ep02- 「黒の書」
The episode starts with some gore, Clare slays the yoma as usual. A Yoma tries to escape by flying but sadly, its luck ran out when Clare flings her sword up to the air and pierces the yoma from the back, delivering its death. They continued their journey in the desert. Raki gets hungry and the both of them settled down for a meal of some wild exotic food. Raki offers some food to him but Clare just took a few bites and stopped as she does not need that much food due to her body. Clare asks Raki to stay while she paced off to another location. A mysterious man with a mask appears and gave her a new set of clothes. The mysterious man appears curious to why Clare has gotten a lil boy follwing her and advises her not to have any feelings attached for any human. Later, the man gave Clare a card. A black card. Clare appears shocked
Clare tells Raki they will be setting off for Shire in the morning. While Raki was asleep, Clare thinks of her past, a fellow claymore that was with her during the painful times. The next morning, they arrived in Shire, the townsfolk shunned them like a plague. Clare asks Raki to stay in the inn while she completes her job. The innsman asks if its about a Yoma and his mouth slipped about another fellow claymore who is here as well. Clare sets out for Mt Shire, to where her fellow Claymore is. After she left, the mysterious man appeared and approached Raki. He tells Raki more about Clare…and the truth behind a claymore. A claymore will eventually become a Yoma when they use their powers, as a claymore’s power is a yoma’s power after all and when they are unable to restrain their humanity side, they will be erased by the organisation.
Raki runs off to find Clare in Mt Shire. Raki is worried about Clare, Clare assures him that no one is becoming a Yoma. It’s just that someone has reached her limits, her fellow claymore who was with her during her painful times, Elena. Elena appeared and gets ready to be killed while it is obvious that she is starting to lose control of herself.
This episode has pretty slowed its pace imo, the whole episode explains about what a Claymore’s destiny is like when they reached their limits and to show much pain Clare has endured to be a Claymore. The scene between Clare and Elena was beautiful. One swift cut by Clare to end Elena’s suffering. I believe there is more to explain in the upcoming episodes, especially about the mysterious man and the organisation. There is another thing that caught my attention, the ED credits, seems like the animation is done up by koreans, I am not sure if i got it right..but if it is, they deserve a praise for this anime because i loved the way the scenes are made in this animation. :D

i think this episode/chapter shows much what claymore is about it all so shows that Clare dosen’t have that “i’m a good person so i wont kill you” that you tend to find in most anime like
1.bleach 2.rave master 3. inu yasa ect. ect.

i agrea with Enara claymore is a asome manga to i have read all the vols. can’t what to see clare and her quick sword and Maria, Jen,elena and every onther claymore!!!!!
