sola ep04- ネガイフタリ
Koyori-chan~ :P

Koyori’s classmates visit her at the hospital and wonders if she is ever lonely staying in. Koyori mentions that she isnt as her sister visits her often and she mentions of a someone whom she knows in the hospital as well. Her classmates ask if it is a friend of hers, Koyori hesitates for a while before saying that she knows her as a friend for sure (it is Aono ). Back at Yorito’s home, Matsuri looks at the doll that Yorito is preparing to give her sister, Aono. Matsuri finds it cute and Yorito was pretty suprised with that. Mana visits them and hands Matsuri some of her clothes before heading to school with Yorito together. After class, Yorito shows Mana the doll that he is going to give his sister. Mana, as usual, thinks that it is ugly. Disappointed, Yorito brings Mana to the shop where he bought the dolls and finds another one to give his sister….

At the shop, Mana tells Yorito to give it up since Aono was very pleased everytime he bought the dolls. Yorito explains those dolls are a significane that he is accompanying his sister when he is not around and he will continue doing that until Aono is able to go home. At the hospital and as usual, Yorito’s doll gets rejected again. Mana realizes that her sister is not around and was pretty suprised since she visits Aono everytime. Mana finds Koyori in her ward looking outside the window. Mana was able to understand that Koyori is leaving the hospital soon and she havent tell Aono yet (Mana *karate chop* on Koyori..*ouch!). Koyori tells her sister she will be able to tell Aono herself.

The scene shifts to Takeshi and Mayuko in the restaurant again, Takeshi mumbles to find “that” asap…Mayuko keeps quiet but she knows what he is talking about. Back to Koyori, it is already late and as she looks out of the window, she remembers of the time when she first met Aono in the hospital…..

When Kayori met Aono for the first time in the hospital, Aono was pretty cold towards her, staying quiet when Koyori asks her questions and introducing herself. Aono tells Koyori of the drink she had, it was a drink she did not like - coffee and the faulty vending machine gave her that when she was pressing for another drink. The both of them was finally able to break the ice when Koyori tells her that she could not sleep because of a new environment and Aono tells her that it is not this way. Koyori agrees and the both of them replied in unison that they could not sleep because they were lonely in the hospital. Koyori tells her that she is a big liar as she havent tell Aono that she is leaving the hospital soon. The next day, Yorito and Mana visits the hospital again but this time Yorito had forgotten to buy a doll for Aono and Aono made him promise that he will buy 5 tomorrow. Koyori enters the room and prepares to tell Aono about the fact that she is leaving soon. Yorito asks which is the doll that Aono likes, apparently, it was the first doll that he gave her. Aono smiled, Koyori tries to tell her but was unable to and in tears Koyori runs out of the room.

Mana apologises and follows Koyori, in the room, Koyori hugs her sister and cries. At night, Aono looks at the origami that had dropped onto the floor and seems to understand something. At the same place where they first met, Aono approaches Koyori who is drinking coffee.

This time, Aono introduces herself to Koyori, Koyori tries to get Aono to drink coffee again, Aono tries it and although she still does not like it, she finds it…heartwarming. Recalling of the time that Koyori had asked her to teach her origami, Aono keeps her promise and hands over some origami paper to teach her because they are friends. With that, Koyori was able to brace up some courage and tells Aono that she will be discharged from hospital soon. The 2 of them spent the night together folding origami.

In the evening, Koyori dresses up in her school uniform and shows Aono, she promises Aono that she will come back again to visit her. The episode ends at night when Yorito accompanied Mana to the restaurant she worked at and while on the way back with Koyori, he was spotted by Takeshi…

Very heartwarming episode towards the end and the piano music that accompanied it was really soothing, Hitoshi Fujima (was that his name?) is the composer for the OST of sola and I seriously think that he did a good job in sola’s musics. The whole episode revolves mainly around Koyori and Aono and now that Koyori is discharged from hospital, I believe the pace will be picking up soon as there is a hint by Takeshi Tsujidou in this episode.
