Children with different background….Is Jun the murderer?

Destruction inevitable, the aftermath of the battle was a total disaster, buildings in ruins, people dead and many others injured and missing. The group of children who had disappeared when the disaster happened was a mystery to the adults. They were being questioned, some cooperative while some werent. However, they did not reveal the secret that they were the ones who piloted Zearth and fought with the alien. Jun remains calm during the interrogation by Sayama, a officer of the Kanagawa Prefecture Police. Every one of them was being asked questions but Jun told Sayama that only 14 of them were together, leaving out his sister. A flashback after the battle, the children were sad over the loss over Waku but some believed in Jun as he did not push Waku down. The fact remains a mystery but Jun remains calm (or was he ?). His death was confirmed when news reached the police that his corpse was washed ashore.

Only one person gave away the secret, Takami Komada. The daughter of a rich family was being escorted away seperately and told by the “chief” of the Kanagawa Prefecture Police that someone will be sending an escort to bring her back. Takami told him that they were the ones who pilot the robot. Sayama and the rest was shocked to hear it. Summer camp is over, the whole lot returns to their families and return home. Sayama knows they are hiding something for sure and Takami’s words were something they could not dismiss. Some of the children had their parents who came to bring them while some seems to have a sad background…but nontheless, all of the returned to their homes except Jun and Kana who went to Yoshikawa’s home.

Waku’s death was not forgotten by the children, the whole lot attended to the funeral while back at Zearth, Koumamushi (dung beetle) grins and plans for the next pilot of Zearth is underway.

While the kids attended to the funeral, Sayama’s investigations were ordered to be handed over to the Cabinet Secretariat’s investigators. An unknown higher authority had given orders to investigate this matter. The coroner informed them his findings, it seems like Waku died before he fell into the water and no water or foam was found in his body, the autopsy findings were indeed mysterious. There were fractures and contusions but were obtained after the death. Waku Takashi did not die from drowning but something else.  Back to Zearth, the selection has began. The next pilot chosen - Kodaka Massaru.

Slow in pace but lots of information. Waku Takashi is dead for certain but not from Jun’s nudge but from something else. Could it be because of the injuries to Zearth from the fight with the alien? The injuries to Zearth was linked to his body (in some way?). Truly a mystery but it is definitely exciting. Man..I really hate Kodaka’s attiude, he is like a snob, arrogant and rude. The next battle seems to take place in somewhere else. Will Kodaka survive ? or will he end up dead like Waku
