Hitohira ep06 - 変われますか?
Asai-san and Kai-kun…. <3 <3 <3

The episodes starts with some of the recaps of the previous episode, the drama research club gathered for breakfast, the whole lot looked gloomier than usual, tense feelings but Nono remains firm, she insist on her usual schedule of training. Risaki got pissed off and threw her bowl of salad at Nono and left for the beach. Asai apologises for all this but Nono mentions it is not her fault as this’s between Risaki and her, the choice to leave the club or continue on working hard is up to Asai. Nono went inside the house while Takashi went for the beach to find Risaki. Kai stayed behind and thinks of last night with Asai. Kai can still remember the warmth of her hands while Asai went wandering to the other part of the beach while thinking of a decision. Back in the room, Nono starts to think back of the times when she formed the drama research club…

Mirei’s image appeared in Nono’s mind, Mirei tells her to speak out of her current health condition that she is in otherwise the others would not be able to know her condition and understand the situation she’s in. However, Nono was different from Mirei as her character is unlike Mirei’s outspoken character. Just like how Mirei’s different from Nono, Nono is different from Asai as well but Nono wants to pass down her knowledge to Asai just like how Mirei did. Back to Asai, she is still thinking of a decision and somehow, she believed that leaving the club is still a better choice…

Risaki settled down a bit on the beach while Takashi stayed with her, looking for seashells. Risaki got a lil bored and heads back. Back to Asai again, she realizes how selfish her decision was as she did not think of Nono’s feelings, she remembered the words that Nono told her during the last performance, those encouraging words. With that, Asai rushes back to the house. Risaki and Takashi were back and saw Asai in a rush and was suprised to see her open the door to find Nono. In the room, Nono was startled by her and asks if she had prepared her things to leave. Asai tells her that for that question, she is not sure…however..

Asai apologises for what she had said last night without even knowing exactly the situation that Nono’s in. Nono tells her that she was harsh to Asai as well and they are equal now. Asai tells Nono about the character that she is going to be on the stage, Asai starts to panic but Nono tells her firmly that if she believes in herself that she can succeed in her role, she can do it. Asai asked Nono if she loved the club, the reply was simple, it’s her everything. The both of them contiuned their rehearsal and training.

Now that the Asai and Nono had settled for what had happened the previous day, the others were relieved and the whole club continued their training (and its intensive training). At night, the girls had a bath together, relaxing. Asai offered to scrub Nono’s back.

At the last night of the training, Asai thanked Kai for his encouragement when she was down, Kai got shy and mentioned that it was nothing. While the lovey dovey couple enjoyed the star gazing, Risaki brought some hanabi (firecrackers) and wants the whole lot to have fun together. Nono excused herself but was stopped by Risaki and forced down her throat with a self made concootion of some differnt vegetables.

Nono seems drunk after that and starts to chase Risaki and Takashi with a big firecracker (lol). The whole lot enjoyed their last night in the chalet admiring the fireworks. Nono rest her head on Asai’s back and tells her to give her best and thanked her as well. Asai tells herself that she is going to work hard from now on.

Back to school, Chitose stood by the window and waits for her “prince Takashi” to return, she spotted Kai and Asai and rushed down . As the both of them walked, Kayo took some photos of them and asked if anything interesting had happened. The both of them got flustered and embarassed.

Kayo felt suspicious on Kai’s reaction and wondered if the both of them are in a relationship, Kai got more embarassed, Chitose rushes to Asai and asked if Takashi had mentioned anything about her when they were at the chalet, Asai lied that he said she was cute and Chitose was excited. Asai wondered what she should do as she had lied to Chitose.. (lol). The episode ends with Asai narrating that nothing had changed in school but in her heart, there is a small change.

One of the best episodes in Hitohira, first thing to highlight, I loved the soundtracks in this episode, it suits the ambience of the story well imo. The recap of the previous episode was indeed a good one, bringing back those emotions to watch this episode. It’s good to see Asai get back on track with her new piece of confidence, we are going to see Asai working hard to train up for the drama performance. It’s obvious that Kai had feelings for Asai, while I wonder if the both of them will end up together… Nice episode, nice soundtracks. The next episode is gonna focus between the strained relationship between Mirei and Nono. I am hoping for more character development between this 2 characters. :D
