sola ep07 - ハイイロノヨル (Grey Night)
Aono-san…wa kowai!!

With the disappearance of Matsuri that night, Yorito’s mood took a change, he searched for her everywhere hoping he could find her and ask her to go back home. Mana knows how he feel although she knows it is not possible to find her if she intends to avoid Yorito. Back at Yorito’s home, Koyori brought some groceries for Aono, apparently, stuff that Yorito likes. Koyori hopes Matsuri will return soon. Aono asks her why, Koyori didnt really answer the question but just replied that it is good to have her around.

Aono recalls the past when she was with Yorito, a distant past when Yorito tells her that he show Matsuri the sky. Back at Yorito, he continues searching for Matsuri and visits the places they had been before. The only change he saw was that the vending machine is no longer there.

When Yorito returns home, he saw the pictures on the wall missing and asks Aono what is going on. Aono tells him that she is just putting them away with no specific reason. Yorito loses his cool and raised her voice at her sister as they were his precious photos of the sky. Aono remains quiet, Koyori tries to explain that Aono did it for him because she does not want Yorito to recall the days with Matsuri as it brings only painful memories to Yorito. Yorito isnt happy and raises his voice at Koyori as well and leaves. Frustrated, Yorito finds himself in the park asking himself why he had done. Aono tracks him down and gives him a picture frame of the sky. Yorito apologises to his sister and the both took a walk. As he reaches the church, he was shocked to find the roof of the church gone and everywhere was in ruins. Something happened.

One day in the morning, Aono reminds Yorito of the outing they are going to have later on in the afternoon, Yorito remembers and when he left, Aono starts to try out the different kinds of clothes from her closet and doing up her hair.

It was raining and Aono waits at the entrance of the school. When Mana and Yorito appeared, Mana mentioned that it’s too bad that the weather’s bad but to her suprise, Aono thinks that it is a good weather instead.

Yorito and Aono leaves and visited different places like the doll shop and to the top of a hill by a cable car. Aono finds the view beautiful, Yorito was curious and asked her why since the weather was bad. Aono tells him that the world is filled with colors. Colors like the green grass, the blue rooftops and the red ship, colors u wont find in the night. A strong breeze came and blew Aonos’ umbrella away. Looking at the umbrella, Yorito remembers Matsuri again and as Aono stands in the rain, Yorito remembers that Matsuri did the same thing before. At night, Aono wants to go to the restaurant where Mana is working at but Aono was drenched. Aono insists as it was a promise made to her. Yorito agrees and rushes to convinence store to buy a towel. A familar figure appears nearby and opens up the fridge to take a tomato drink. She lost grip and the drink rolled to where Yorito was. Yorito recognises the drink and looks up and finds the person who he has been searching for days - Matsuri. Yorito rushes to her but Matsuri avoids him and runs out of the store. Yorito tries to chase after her but Aono grabs him and asks him not to go.

Yorito apologises and shakes off Aono’s grip and runs after Matsuri. He caught up with her eventually but Matsuri starts to use her powers and hops up to the roofs and runs away. However, some birds flew away from a nearby area gave away Matsuri’s location. Back at Aono, she was devastated by Yorito and starts to mumble why this had happened. She recalls the time when she met Matsuri in the tram. Matsuri had promised her not to appear in front of Yorito again. At a deserted house, Matsuri covers Mayuko with a blanket as she sleeps on a bed and Yorito appeared. Matsuri draws the curtains up to hide Mayuko. She begs Yorito to go away.

Yorito refuses as he had not fulfilled his promise to Matsuri. Matsuri was happy to tears but she tells him that it is not possible as she is a Yaka, before she can fiinsh her sentence, Yorito hugs her and tells her tog home. At the same moment, Aono was outside in the rain and this was when she seems to be at peak of her emotions, her eyes starts to change as if she’s unleashing some unknown powers. She calls out Yorito’s name. Back at Matsuri and Yorito, lightning continues lighting up the sky as thunder echoed the room. Matsuri took a few steps back, she realized that she was being stabbed as she looks at Yorito, his eyes were lifeless as if some mind control was exerted over him. A shard of glass was in Yorito’s hand with fresh blood as Matsuri collapses. The episode ends.

Wow…So Aono’s powers were pretty scary aint it…? To be able to exert mind control over her brother could mean that she had done something to him long ago. Next, it seems that Aono is pretty possessive over Yorito, reasons why I felt that way is from the previous episodes until now, Aono’s reactions when Yorito was with someone(Matsuri) proved that way, I may be wrong but it felt this way to me especially at that devastated look on Aono’s face when he just abandon her to chase after Matusri. It could be possible that Aono is trying her best to be like Matsuri after she was gone (doing herself up with nice clothes and hairstyle, reactions in the park..etc)

Mana is not aware that Aono is a Yaka but the reply by Aono at the entrance of the school could eventually make her realise that. and yea! what happened in the church and why was Mayuko with Matsuri. It could be due to the the roof collapsing and Matsuri saved her..

The main mystery is why is Aono behaving this way towards Yorito. I only have one theory in my mind (pretty ridiculous thought imo)…prolly Aono likes Yorito but Yorito likes Matsuri…something happened and Yorito was in life threatening situation. Matsuri teaches Aono how to save him but the price to pay is to be a wraith. Aono kills herself by slashing herself in the neck, Matsuri revives her and embraced her to the dark side.

haha..lots of ridiculous thoughts from me….prolly wrong I guess. ;)
