Hitohira ep09 - この日を忘れない !
Go go Mugi-chan!!
Continuing from the previous episode, Asai’s sudden change in her voice diverted all the attention to her and the audience was in awe, her best buddy, Kayo was happy to tears and Chitose was excited for her. Asai did it and the rest continues their performance and when it ended, the audience clapped. They were very suprised by the clapping but as they realized, they knew they stand a better chance of winning now.
The clappings were non stop, the audience were in awe by Asai’s performance. Asai looked dazed as she stood on the stage with the attention on her. When the competiton ends, it is time to draw votes as the results will decide the fate of the clubs. The one with less votes will have to get their club dismissed.
The time for the results are here, the team leads for each club throw the ball (represents 1 vote) into the sky, this will determine who will run out of balls first and lose the club. Before that, Mirei met Nono and sort of scolded her to go hospital instead of being here. Nono just smiled at her, although Mirei’s words seem harsh, Nono knows she cared for her.
The results were confirmed. Nono’s club lost by 1 vote (urgh). Asai was sad by the results, all the hard work and now it is over. Back at the club room, the members gathered for the last time. The seniors started talking on how the club was formed. It all started when Takashi….
Takashi was the one who suggested the idea to Nono to form a new club and that was how Nono came to form the new club and Takashi was the new club member for the Drama Research club. The others were pretty suprised when they heard this. Next was how Risaki joined the club, the reason’s simple. She had an arguement with Mirei and left the club to join Nono’s club (lol). Although she did it to spite Mirei but now she enjoys to be with Nono and the rest. For Kai, there is nothing much said but he enjoys the times he had with the club but Asai was not happy, she was brooding over the loss of the competiton and now the club is going to be disbanded. Risaki “pinched” Asai’s cheeks and comforted her that the club is going to be disbanded anyway even if they win since it is their last year in high school.
While they were talking, Kayo over heard all this, again, she is happy for Asai that she had found such good friends in her club and as she leaves, she met Chitose who is on her way to meet her “prince” Takashi. As they departed ways, Chitose saw all the club members gathering outside as Takashi tears down the club banner and hands it to the leader, Nono. Nono thanked everyone for their efforts and declares the club to be disbanded officially. As the episode ends, Asai talks about all that happened is like fragment of her dream (hitohira), while it seems everything had ended, Asai tells herself that she will never forget this day. さよなら。。演劇研究会

Pretty sad episode in the end to see Nono’s club to lose just by 1 vote, although the disbanding is inevitable since the seniors are having the last year in the club. They had a great time in the club though, all the happiness, anger, sadness and agony that was experienced by all of them will be like how Asai described, an unforgettable experience. I wondered how many loved the days in school with your club mates ? :) Do you still remember any good times ? Obviously, this anime is not talking about some bad blood between the 2 clubs and who will win the competiton but rather more the individual char development of the times they had in school, partiuclarly more on Asai. From a timid cowardly Asai to a relative more confident her (prolly) and also she gets to know such good club mates in school

3 more episodes and Hitohira’s over. The competiton is over and I wondered how the plot is gonna flow, will they talk more on Asai and Kai ? It is very possible since the both of them developed a closer bond of friendship and possibly, love during the summer camp. Next episode, it is christmas for them.

Woah…seriously? They finished the major plotline 3 episodes early! That’s some really bad planning there. How in the world are they going to fill the last episodes and still make it meaningful?
