Kanon’s Makoto Fig by Maxfactory =D
It’s not annouced yet when the official date for this figurine by Maxfactory wil be out but yea…looking at the posture of Makoto figurine template, I am in love with it. Must resist myself from going such places often, it is a sea of posion…yes..very easily tempted to buy a lot of things.. :P On a sidenote, couldnt find the Kanon Visual memories at Kinokuniya Takashimaya. arrrgh.. =/
1 commentKanon Visual Memories ~uguu~

uguuu~~ No doubt I love Kanon, I wish I would be able to buy this in Singapore. The above pic was taken from a fellow blogger’s site - Moemoerabu, I wished *prays* this item would be in sg and in sufficient quantities. :P (doubt it is likely possible). Looking at the photos taken by Adun, the quality is superbly clear (no doubt he has a good camera too :P ) and it seems like there are artworks that are exclusive to this book only. I can assume some new wallpapers of Kanon from those who had bought it.
In addition to this artbook, there is a disc included as well. It contains 86 variations (according to Moemoerabu) of Tsukimiya Ayu’s “uguu” clips. Yea, it would be fun to have it as your cellphone ringtone or your MSN’s clip, whatever you can think of. ;) 86 is a lot..kudos to Horie Yui.. :D
Here are some caps from the artbook itself. Courtesy to moemoerabu’s excellent camera quality.

Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kai, It’s coming soon..
Thanks to impz for highlighting that he saw the video, the thought that july is at the corner reminds me of this highly anticipated series that I am waiting, Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Kai. The preview features the OP of the sequel, Naraku no Hana by Eiko Shimamiya and so some scenes from the anime. The song seems nice and yea..it captured my attention. Ok, nuff talk…Let the cicadas cry ;)

She’s alive, former Claymore No2 - Irene.
[Impressions]
Ophelia was one scary bitch in the last episode and she gets worse in this episode. Basically, she is just torturing and playing with Clare like a toy, cutting off her dominant right arm and a left hand. Just as at that critical moment when Ophelia is going to end Clare’s life. Her arrogance was tamed just in time by a mysterious shrouded figure. Ophelia’s attacks were futile and in fact, pathetic against the mysterious warrior. Her attacks were deflected by the warrior and when it was time for the mysterious warrior to counterattack, Ophelia was totally helpless agianst it as the attacks were invisible to her. Flash attacks as it seems, was familar to Clare for she had once seen such an attack by a former Claymore - Irene. Yes, she is alive and she still kick ass as ever despite she lost an arm to Priscilla during her hunt for Teresa. In this episode, I find Irene impressive and she’s cool.
A similiarity between Clare and Irene though, both lost an arm and luckily for Clare, she was able to join back her hand to her arm and Irene has decided to teach Clare her skills, the flash attack. (wow..if u are into chinese martial arts novels..this sounds very familar to u :P ) Back to Ophelia, her pride is hurt …so it was inevitable…she turned into an Awakened One so if Ophelia is scarier in this episode, I wonder how she is like in the next. It would be very exciting in the next episode as Clare faces the Awakened Ophelia. Will the tables be turned and Clare to finish Ophelia or will despair await her ? or maybe…something else ;)

Tsukasa and Kagami
[Impressions]
Yet another nice episode in Lucky Star and this time, it is new year and as expected, Konata is getting ready for Komikat! She is well planned this time and gets Kagami and Tsukasa along as well. It’s Tsukasa’s first time to such an event and all Kagami knows is to expect whats worse for them. Yes..lol…crowds and lots of em. Konata issues them battle stratgies once they are on the field of battle in Komikat. Saw some references to SHnY, Shuffle! and FMP!…was damn funny. Akira-sama was indeeed featured in this episode too! well… as a cardboard layout in some display booth and ended up being ran over and the head was folded over (lol).
This is really crazy as we get to the 2nd half of the episode where Tsukasa and Kagami are shrine maidens (miko-san~)..and yea..Konata’s dad feels so blessed as ever. Konata gets a bad fortune for the new year though T.T This episode is really appealing me and I find so funny when I spotted Akira…and talking about Akira…whoa! it is lucky that she is sick today, down with a bad cold i guess hence, lucky channel in this episode was brief and short. (and to mention that, the cardboard of Akira was behind them as well..lol)
Next episode would be interesting, they are advancing from new year to Valentines Day (aww…will Kona-chan get something?)

Tama digging its nose… -.-
[Impressions]
When I saw Hayate studying English through the help of Moe-tan, I was like wtf? isnt that an upcoming anime ? This epsiode is simply hilarious as usual but I didnt expect that though. As mentioned in the previous episode post of Hayate, I made a mistake in thinking that Nagi was going to Hayate’s school but rather, Nagi wants Hayate to transfer to her school instead and to get in, Hayate has to take the entrance exams and to make matters worse, the exams is the next day. Hayate is trying very hard to drill all the stuff into his brain but too bad, Klaus and Tama kept him “well awake” in the night. (as usual..Tama is so funny and Klaus in that childhood flashback scene was wtf).
I liked the part when this question on why manholes are round, this question’s my fave last time and I loved to ask ppl that. Well, you can google on that for the answer though and oh…I wonder how will Hayate deal with Ayumu’s confession ? hmm… ;)

nyaa~ -Ricardo
[Impressions]
heh…It was amusing to see Ricardo with that cat-ear headgear and LA is now back to his usual Ellis-stalking action again, although they didnt play a major role here.. definitely an episode worth watching. This time, Nadie and Ellis are in a a little town where a procession is going to take place. The assumed person with supernatural powers is living in this little town, however, she is a fake somehow but she did have a real power, to be able to see one’s past. I liked the way this episode is organised as it starts to introduce another “gang” of unknowns planning and calculating the next action to align with Rosenberg’s and of course, it involves none other than Ellis. This group of unknowns plays a important role in the story imo as they are the ones who silienced the assumed person with supernatural powers and also seems to be on Blue Eyes’s side. El Cazador is getting back on track and my feeling is that it will get better as it advances episode by episode.
A plan set in motion from different ends, 2 girls on their journey to the south, stalkers and unknowns stalking them, i am hoping the anime will be handled well and not end up in some kind of disappointment.

Was she ever in the wrong ?
[Impressions]
The episode brings new heights in the combat scene between Aono and Matsuri and I liked the way they mix their story from the past along with the present while they battle and in the midst of the battle, Yorito waits for his fate to come. Matsuri is determined to end this once and for all. Aono resists as her disappearance will mark the end of everything - her efforts for creating Yorito, her future with Yorito and basically the end of Yorito as well. It makes me feel a little sad for Aono when I saw the scene above but it’s already a mistake in the beginning and Matsuri is going to undo everything.
As the episode nears to an end, Matsuri did something that really shocked me. Well, she stabbed herself. I guess it was already expected somehow as Takeshi had briefed her to stab herself with the sword, her blood together with the sword will be able to undo Aono’s Yaka powers and return her to a human being. Oh and yea! the part where the flim of the sky was shown was a nice touch to it as well. Now, the crucial thing that comes to mind. If Aono becomes human, Yorito should disappear with Matsuri (if that stab is to meant to end her life)…that will leave Aono alone which makes no sense or rather..a sad ending. However, we dont see the sword going through Aono. It might meant something different. Next episode will be the tv finale for sola and after that , 2 extra DVD exclusives. I am looking fwd to it for sure.
1 commentSummer ‘07 Animes ? hmm…
June is coming to an end soon. More or less, I am satisfied with the animes that I have watched so far. Animes like sola, Lucky Star, Hayate no Gotoku!, Claymore are my current faves. I browsed through the list of animes that are going to be debuting in July and later part of the year…there are a few faves that I will definitely watch and a few ones that I will blog on.

Nadie
[Impressions]
LA continues his “treatment” in somewhere under Rosenberg’s instructions and at last, as expected, he ran away! Guess his passion for Ellis is simply overpowering all kinds of “treatment”. That taco song is really catchy and I cant seem to stop myself humming the tune after I watched that episode. This episode sets the momentum back again and I am starting to like it somehow. Ricardo is one character that I am paying attention to. He is not just a simple person, there is definitely more to his background and also whats with him and Lirio, that is something worth watching in detail in this anime series. He maybe like some quiet fella sitting down there drinking his beer but when its business, he is merciless.
Ellis showing another cute side of herself again, yea..Ellis in Amigo Tacos uniform! :D I am starting to slow down in blogging on this series, definitely need to catch up on this soon
*taco taco tacos!*

Ophelia, the No4 Claymore
[Impressions]
Whoa….I didnt expect this to be that fast and here we are at this episode with Clare facing the threat that Miria had mentioned - Ophelia. She is really one scary bit*h indeed, the way she plays around with Clare simply pisses me off. Ignoring about that bit*h, Ophelia first, we shall talk about Raki… he has courage of a man (well..at least give him credit, shouldnt we?). Raki has followed Clare and even shows himself to protect Clare when Ophelia was about to strike Clare. Clare and Raki were forced to part ways as Ophelia is going to hunt Clare down after she is aware of Clare’s identity. The both of them promised each other that they will meet and Raki is going to train harder and one day to protect Clare instead. I am certainly expecting things to happen to Raki and maybe he will make a grand entrance in the later episodes again and protect her. Imo, Clare saw Raki as the younger self of her, those brave words and feelings were like how she was when Teresa’s with her.
Ophelia is evil and a freak but she is strong (well..she’s No4..)..I am wondering how is she going to hunt Clare down. This’s definitely getting more and more exciting..!

Tsukasa, Kagami, Konata, Miyuki …
[Impressions]
Simply another nice episode in Lucky Star, some of the scenes they describe do happen to me in real life before whn I was younger… (lol). humourous though indeed, particularly the cup noodles scene, it was really LOL and of course the way Konata(Hirano Aya ) describes the train scene as well funny too. The part where Konata wakes up and find herself that she’s one station early reminded what happened to me some time ago….when u want to take the seat back, it is occupied =(….
Lots of conversations in this anime but yet it aint boring and in fact, interesting. Somehow, the producers seems to try and strike similarities between real life and anime. The timeline in this episode is at the end of the year and next episode is talking about another year again. Lucky Channel features Akira sama in her usual emo swing as well but she did mention about appearing in the next episode. Will that happen ? We shall see ;)

Hayate no Gotoku! - 11 & 12

Nishizawa…and a tiger Tama
[Impressions]
Ep11 wasnt that funny though, it talks about Nagi and the whole lot on their visit to Nagi’s grandfather, Mikado who is also the head of the Sanzenin family. Nothing much that is funny but an important point was that shown is that the grandfather handed Hayate a precious stone telling him that it will serve him as a guide and will be useful to him in the future. Well, seems like the stone is giving out some kind of aura (-.-)
Ep12 was what that caught me laughing non stop for the entire episode. The beginning was already LOL -.- Ayumu managed to find out where Hayate lived and she had expressed her love to Hayate…and of course she knows her rival too - Nagi. The scene where Tama chased Ayumu was another crazy scene (horny tiger, eh? :P) One obvious reference in this ep was the short scene they showed Suzumiya Haruhi and the other was the part about Wataru talking about Getsumen to Heiki Minna. Ayumu retreated from Nagi but Hayate is now aware of her feelings and looks at her as she ran off. Nagi seems sad and starts to think about the times she had with him and so..she decided to do something for him. It will be shown in the next episode - They are going to study in Hayate’s old school. Man..I bet that will be amusing to watch…LOLZ

It’s farewell…?
[Impressions/Summary]
One of the sadest moments in sola, obviously, Yorito’s tearing down of the pictures of the sky meant that he is going to remove his own existance and disappear. Like in the previous episodes where they explain on Yakas, formed from the painful and uncertainty moments from humans. Now, they are going to remove their existances from the world. Everyone is leaving. The scene between Mana and Yorito was very well made. When everyone forgets about Yorito’s existance, Mana rushes to the school rooftop just to find Yorito to confirm his existance but Yorito remains silent and as they held each others hands, Yorito disappears suddenly and Mana seems to wake up from a dream and finds herself crying. It seems like Yorito’s existance was gone from Mana as well….damn, that was really sad, Mana deserves a good ending =\ I was hoping they will end up together (pretty much fat hope i guess)
Takeshi and Mayuko left the city earlier as she couldnt bear to see what is going to happen to Matsuri and the rest. The sword has been entrusted to Matsuri, Matsuri have made a choice with Yorito and it seems to involve Aono altough she isnt aware of it. As the episode ends, Yorito appears before Matsuri and the scene changes back to Aono. She was preparing to leave as Yorito had promised to restart everything again with Aono. A noise in the hallway and Aono thought that Yorito is back but she faces Matsuri in the hallway instead. With a sword in Matsuri’s hand, I can expect a big fight in the the next episode. I have a gut feeling that the 3 of them - Aono, Matsuri and Yorito is gonna disappear.

Hitohira no yume…sayonara, Nono-san!
[Impressions]
Hitohira has ended and I loved the ending. It was sweet yet a little bitter, it makes me wonder a question - Have you ever wondered what goes on in your club room after you graduate? The ending sequence was very nice and like a fairy tale, it ends with absolute elegance where Mugi and Nono bid each other farewell and also the thanksgiving to each other. Both of them have gave each other support in different ways and I am sure the both of them deserves a good ending. Takashi didnt end up with Nono although he did hinted Nono many times in different ways and I am sure Nono is well aware of that when she told Takashi that he had a weird taste for girls. Chitose was braver than I thought and although rejected, she remains strong. Kayo continues to pursue her dreams overseas and remains in contact with Asai through the phone (bah..dont they know skype?! phone bills are expensive ya know :P ). The seniors graduate and on their last day of school, Asai shouted thank you with her magnificent voice from the roof to Nono marking the end of this episode.
Every episode of Hitohira has been an enjoyable experience for me, I liked it a lot hence I gonna rate it as No3 in my top10 faves. In short, it is a story about a timid schoolgirl who has been changed to another person with a dream and to see this world with light and hope. (haha. sounds very unlike the story..but yea. that’s me) and this 12 episodes of Hitohira tells how this timid school girl gets to know her friends and eventually a guy who has fallen in love with her. (of course, that guy is Kai). Good anime series. I loved it.
