Remy is a rat who appreciates cooking and he dreams to be a great chef, his dreams are driven and inspired by Gusteau, the culinary hero who passed away due to the merciless critic’s comments. He has a problem though as he is a rat after all, a unwanted rodent that humans detest. Seperated from his family during an incident, Remy finds himself in Paris and in the famous restaurant by Gusteau. He meets Linguini, a garbage boy who claims to be Gusteau’s son, however, he does not know how to cook. Forming a unusual and hilarious partnership, the 2 of them sets out a crazy chain of events in the kitchen where the both of them has too coordinate with each other to prevent their secrets from being exposed.

This is honestly one of my favourite animated movies currently this year. Pixar really did a good job here and when the movie started, it already got me laughing. The movie lasted around 90mins+ and the entire cinema was laughing away when Remy did something funny. It is definitely worth every cent for this movie and trust me, I am gonna buy the DVD when it is out ! :D Till then, enjoy the trailer above.

A newer revision of the PSP will be on the retail shelves pretty soon, as stated on hardspell.com, the new PSP will weigh around 189g and will be 23mm thick. It will sport a few colors when it is retailing - black, white, silver, pink, blue and purple. Those who have yet to buy the PSP will want to consider waiting for this new revision.

Ok, before you misunderstand, the soundtrack on the left does not belong to me. It was taken from a japanese’s blog which I was randomly browsing through. When I saw the photo, I was “wow..this guy bought Little Busters! OST and the cover art is so nice !”. Soundtracks play an important role in pouring out the feelings and emotions of a scene. From my point of view, it is the essence and the backbone to accompany a scene in telling you a story or maybe a hidden meaning behind what it is trying to tell you.

I believe many anime/game soundtrack fans or the alike around the world understand the importance of soundtrack and some appreciates every note of it. Fans of the alike will know names like Kajiura Yuki, Nobuo Uematsu, Yasunori Mitsuda. A piece of soundtrack is an art, you need to appreciate it to understand the meaning of the music and why its tune suits the scene. Prolly some might object to what I am saying but I will just quote an example in a way I appreciate it - The track “Nagisa” in CLANNAD OST: The tune at the beginning carries a lonely and yet with a bittersweet feeling (the piano), the tune accompanies the scene where Nagisa is there on her way to school. She is there and she still loves the school, the scenery around her but however, she is sad somehow as her friends around her have graduated. The tune takes a change when Tomoya appears, his appearance, is like a light that brightens her up.

Currently, a OST is not enough, items like character cds, drama cds, etc help to promote a title. The cds provide revenue to the companies and also an extra collectable for fans.

According to Anime News Network (ANN), ARIA’s 3rd season is confirmed, this “slice-of-life” anime will return with the same vocal cast and directed by Junichi Sato. No broadcast date has been confirmed yet but according to ANN, the production started since spring this year. I am hoping for a release next year early spring. This is definitely a piece of happy news for ARIA fans and for me, I love ARIA too, because it makes me feel relaxed when watching it. The soundtracks was another main reason why I loved ARIA as well.

Here is the extract from ANN:

The October issue (on sale August 30) of Mag Garden’s Comic Blade magazine will announce that a third animated television season based on Kozue Amano’s Aria surreal slice-of-life manga was greenlit. Director Junichi Sato (Gate Keepers, Pretear, Princess Tutu) will return after overseeing both of the previous Aria television seasons and the OVA. The staff will largely be the same as the OVA version’s. The broadcast date has not been set yet, but the third season has been in production since this past spring.

Nanatsuiro Drops will get its PS2 release on the 20th Sept 07, a quick look at the artwork and you will know that it is Noizi Ito that we are talking about. Yup! the one who is the original character designer for Shakugan no Shana, Suzumiya Haruhi, Demonbane etc. The game is by Unionshift and was originally created as an 18+ eroge game for the PC. An anime adaptation (not an eroge anime) was made as well. The PS2 release seems to pack an extended OP and also 2 new characters - Julirsia Satsuki and Flora Koiwai.

Pretty spooky shot, as mentioned above. I wonder who is that though. This is yet another enjoyable episode as they focus on school excursion with our 4 main characters. Tsukasa’s sure cute in that scene when she feeds the deers (lol). Some humor as well when Tsukasa helps to take a photo for some Indian tourists and wonders how to say “cheese” in hindi. “kar shak kar shak..ok?” (LOL) but hell…in India, they speak english too -_-. The cold jokes when they were on the bus was funny too, I wonder how many caught the joke though. Kagami receives a letter and thought it’s a letter of confession….only to be stunned on the spot when the man reveals his face and “omg!” he wants the doll that she bought earlier on. *sigh* poor Kagami =(

Lucky Channel caught me by suprise !! Shirashi is back !!! and he is freaking…MAD. Akira was freaked out for sure and literally “own3d” orz . The channel is torn down, props thrashed around. What would happen to the next episode ? Will there still be Lucky Star?

The school trip and how Konata and the rest enjoyed in this trip makes this episode one of my fave episodes but one thing for sure, the friendship between the 4 is definitely strong.

Now…for Kuroi sensei, poor her, she dont get to play her MMORPG when she returned home as the server’s down for maintainence (dont you hate that?)

Hi all! this is PP from Otakurean? , oOga invited me over to be a guest writer of Anime banzai. If you follow my recent postings @ otakurean, you realised, i went from a part time manga review to a ＿|￣|○ due to internet shopping and crazy otaku-style shopping.

But now moving back to my roots, which is trying to write reviews from all my mangas, there is quite a big pile already, stopped quite sometime back. Am a guest writer here, i will try to show off my ability to eat grass and purchase otaku-related stuff on a weekly basis. Yes thats right, weekly! ok i’m just kidding but whenever i buy stuff i tend to buy too many. so i guess i’ll probably stuff you guys with my silly purchases.

The burning passion of summer is almost over as autumn is ahead of us, sure, we have a lot of nice animes during the summer but what about autumn ? I browsed through the list in anidb and also some other sources and decided a few of my favourites. Needless to say, for those who know me - the first anime in the list is CLANNAD.

These animes are subjected to my own point of view so what seems nice to me might not be the same for you. I will have my own rating to these animes and they are graded with “<3″ . The max will be 10 <3 which means perfect score. A < means 0.5. This list will grow if I find more animes that caught my attention, be it good or bad.

Chara fest’s over and the tranquil peace fills the shop yet again, collected a gift from KKnM for their mini game event. There were a few options available and I chose this. A A4 sized file with the artwork of the upcoming anime, ef~a tale of memories~.
