Rena…forcing her way out of my pile of nonsence

(Singapore) Some call it the IT “pasar malam” but this year’s Comex seems a lil bit better than the previous year. Yes, and as usual, crowded. I have 2 things that I wanted to buy – a decent camera and a adsl2+ router (sighz..my free router was KIA during a thunderstorm). The router was not a problem to me as I had planned to get the Linksys WAG200 which sports 4 port 10/100 ethernet connectivity and Wireless G at a pretty “cheap” price of S$95.

Next, it was a digital camera, that was pretty tough as I was actually thinking of getting the Fuijfilm FinePix S8000fd or the Canon Powershot S5 IS. My intention was to get something good and yet have video capture ability. It is not as good as a SLR which is for sure but although S8000fd was cheaper and the specs seems better (18x ultrazoom vs 12x and some other random stuff). I got myself a Powershot instead. The fact that it impressed me was its super macro function and the menu system which is a edge over the s8000fd. I am happy with it and I took some amateaur shots on my figurines and my dirty table which I will clean later on when I wake up :P
