[Blog Updates]
Anime Banzai! is now officially ver3 ! (as of hosted on animeblogger), I have equipped it with K2 and modified a little on it. There are some additions and modifications to the entire log. Along with the antenna’s recent update that includes a icon for the blog, i have a submission on it as well. Do take note though, the blog has problems with IE6, hence I decided to change the requirements to view this blog from IE7 and firefox only. The changelog is at the bottom of this post.
Next, I have decided to make this blog open to guest writers. Yup! One of the reasons that I registered for this blog was to mainly set the foundation of it and let people who wanted to blog on random articles related to japanese culture, animes or any otaku related events, merchandise a chance to do so and yet does not have to put in a lot of commitment due to lack of time for school or work. Existing bloggers are welcomed to do so as well, my aim is to make it a blog for fans, by fans. While I know this is hard, I have decided to make this as a general concept for Anime Banzai!. As the title implies, BANZAI! The way on how it works, please refer to details of this post below. I will post up the details on the header under “about abanzai” later as well.
Lastly, I thank all of have visited the blog, while Anime Banzai! isnt as popular as many others from many aspects, it is important for me to thank those who had contributed suggestions, banners, etc and also you guys who had visited my blog often. In addition, I would like to thank jellokun and Runningkid for providing their episode summaries and welcome them here as well. :P
Version3 is now official, however, I will still move sidebar items around and do some slight cosmetic changes to it but main theme is set. V3 on K2 (modified).
+++ Registering as a Writer for Anime Banzai! +++
The process is pretty easy. Just send a email to the blog (abanzai at animebloggerD0Tnet) with your primary email address, indicating your details:
Subject of email: Requesting to be guest writer
In the body of the email, please put in the following -
- Your Blog Alias (the nickname that will appear on the blog when you post)
- Your name (Optional but it is part of the registration fields for your account)
- Your blog’s website URL (Optional)
- What will you be mainly posting (e.g: episode summary writer, eroge game summariser?, game reviewer, etc etc or you are gonna post any random articles subjected to the blog)
Send the email and I will respond to you asap with your login password (you can change the password after you login).
You will be subjected to a Contributer account type only and I will have to vet it to make sure it is of the right catergory, appears right on the page and subjected to the rules for Animeblogger. The most important reason is to schedule your post so that it does not crash with another writer’s post together.

I’m glad to see you finally back and blogging again. The new layout is really nice. I wonder how this guest blogging thing will work. Do people have to submit ideas first?

It will be a open concept. I leave the ideas to the writer, as long it is not of vulgar, explicit content and subjected to the rules to animeblogger. I will schedule your post to be published here.
Of course, I will email you if your post is rejected and also indicate the reason for you.

refering to how explicit it is, as long there is no realism pictures of violence or any direct portraying of full nudity, it is not explicit

The new look is looking good. Though I had a quick check on IE6 and it appears to be working fine, except when you make a double comment post, there’s no spacing between the two. Though I do find it odd as the K2 theme is a well used one and should look fine in any version of IE.
Interesting how you are going to do the guest writers. I was thinking of doing something similar, but then it wouldn’t be a personal blog anymore.

hmm..no spacing between the 2 ? mind if u can do a screenshot because i cant reproduce that error on my IE.
on the dbl comment post above “as highlighted green” i can see the spacing though on firefox and on IE7.

I’m reaching assessment-end periods in my university.
The new site feel is definitely good, easy on the eyes.

There you go. This is in IE6 and even with the comments below the screen shot, the text starts to misalign.

ok. nvm. it is confirmed, appears that my “customized” K2 layout has problems with IE6 only.
Appears that firefox and IE7 is ok.
I guess i will have apologise to the viewers with IE6 :)
