After much controversy, delays and much uncertain the episode finally see the day of light was it worth the wait?

[Summary]
We’ve reached the end of the roller coaster the ups and downs of Katsura, Makoto and everyone’s favorite slut, Sekai. The game was known for it it’s violent endings and the show doesn’t hold back I would even go as far as saying the show is even darker and morbid than the game itself. Now lets get into it. Here it is School Days episode 12 review.
The show starts with Katsura and Makoto walking down the street from where the last episode ended. Katsura is being very clingy and Makoto remarks how cold it is, Katsura turns around and places his hands on her breasts.
Sekai is back at Makoto’s place making a very big dinner for the two of them, She calls Makoto to ask when he is coming home and he’s at a fancy restaurant with Katsura. He says that he is busy and the topic steers towards the baby Sekai is carrying, Makoto remarks how Katsura wouldn’t of said that in front of everybody and that she wouldn’t of got pregnant. Makoto tells her to stop acting like his girlfriend and leave his place. Sekai understandably pissed smashes all the plates and food and leaves.
K atsura and Makoto return to his place after dinner and Makoto walks into his kitchen and sees the mess on the floor and starts to make some tea. While the water is boiling he starts to clean up the mess, he is thinkin about how everything went down and all was his fault and how dumb he was to not come home like he was finally starting to see the ilght and now the cause and effect of his actions.
Suddenly the doorbell rings and a slap is heard, Sekai has come back and slapped Katsura, asking why she was answering his door and that she is being a bother to Makoto that Sekai is his girlfriend he broke up with Katsura. Kotohona takes a stand for herself and says she is dating Makoto and deeply kisses Makoto who returns the kiss. Shocked Sekai falls to her knees.
Next a dream scene of Sekai sorounded by a girl who looks like Setsuna and her saying that she had her own desires and did anything to fulfil them even if it meant hurting her friends to do so. She wakes up to a text message from Makoto saying she should goto a hospital that Katsura knows about and get the baby aborted. She than says she’s leaving for the hospital.
Makoto goes into school, relived that Sekai isn’t there, he tan gets a text message from her saying that they need to talk at his place. They meet he asks her how the hospital was, an awkward silence happens so he decides to make some tea, before he can say anything she jumps up and says she will do it. Makoto gets a text message and reads it in his bedroom.
It’s from Sekai saying “Sorry”………………………..”Goodbye” he turns around shocked to see Sekai with a knife, she stabs him in the stomach he falls to the ground and than she gets on top of him and stabs him again, she yells that having a happy ending with Katsura is terrible she stabs him one last time and she quickly comes back to her senses seeing the damage she has done she flees from the scene.
Katsura comes home with food in hand she drops the bag in shock sheing Makoto’s lifeless body in a pool of blood. Sekai is in her room in a ball, her cell phone chimes she has a text message from Makoto. It reads to meet on the rooftop of the school.

She promptly goes to the rooftop there is a blue bag on the bench where they once sat and held each other, Katsura comes from the shadows calling her a terrible person for playing Makoto and deceiving her, saying she was Makoto’s girlfriend. Sekai says that she was his girlfriend and that she is carrying his child. She says she let him do whatever he wanted to her because she wanted to be with him so much and that she thought that if she let him fool around with her he would fall in love with her.
Katsura asks if she went to the hospital like she said she did, Sekai replied no she wouldn’t go to a hospital Katsura recommends. She says Makoto wanted the baby, Katsura asks sekai to go ask Makoto over on the bench, she opens the bag and pukes upon seeing Makoto’s severed head.
Without hesitating Katsura asks Sekai if she is really carrying Makoto’s child she says yes she is, Katsura produces a blade from under coat and says lets find out if your lying, Sekai not being quick enough to draw the same knife that she stabbed Makoto with (why does she still have it?) her throat is severed in a shower of blood, than the view from the corpse of Sekai is shown and Katsura is shown standing over her body she says just as she thought there was no life inside of her.
Katsura is shown lying on her boat clutching Makoto’s severed head saying they are finally alone together.
[Impressions]
To the delight of all the game players and to the anime fans the “bad ending” has occurred Makoto got what was coming to him. I was very surprised to see the ending where Katsura split open Sekai’s body very dark indeed. Katsura went from innocent quiet happy go lucky sexy girl to dark, devious murder. The show overall I thought was very well done, I have not played the game and so I didn’t know what to expect I had a feeling Makoto would meet his untimely death by the end of show but by whom I was unsure of.
It really felt like in Makoto’s heart he knew he had been to selfish and all he cared about was sex and I think he finally understood the choices he made were not wise ones, but when confronted with those chooses he didn’t try to apologize or make right for his choices. Than you have Sekai who claimed she was knocked up but as Katsura said it may have been a veyr good lie on her part to try and make sure Makoto never left her side. On the other hand maybe Sekai truly thought she was going to have his child.
The show had many twists, turns and WTF moments, I feel the worst for Swangna! he got to score with Katsura but in the ned meant nothing and all the other girls are whores! I’d recommend the show to someone who likes drama, and the show had a good amount of realism I’d say Makoto getting to stick it to every girl in his home room class seems a little far fetched but whatever.
The most sympathy goes to Kokoro that sweet kid will no longer have a sister! I’d bet Katsura stole that boat and is sailing the world!!
on a serious note I hope the show did speak to you if you’ve ever thought of ending a relationship on such a note. I know it may sound very cold and not something that would occur often but many times relationships can end on many different notes and having them end on such a sour note as taking someone else’s life isn’t the way to do it.
While watching the show I really felt like if Makoto took Sekai’s advice early on in the show or Sekai herself stepped up to the plate and spoke with Katsura about the relationship that they were building that many of the actions down the line wouldn’t of happened. But this is fantasy and nothing more, please don’t take what you see here and think it’s a good idea in the real world.
Before I wrote this review I read on another blog that a third murder committed in japan by an underage kid. Lets hope that this doesn’t start a trend that will be linked to shows such as School Days.
