    CLANNAD (Xbox360)

    While AIR is gonna get a port over to the PSP, CLANNAD is not an exception as well but not to the PSP but for the Xbox360 (darn!). Good news for CLANNAD lovers and has the Xbox360 console. The artwork and images of the game will getting a 720p version for the Xbox360. Previously, the game was released for the PS2 but at a resolution of 640×448. What does that mean ? In short, you get to see your favorite CLANNAD character in 720p resolution, double the resolution of the original PC and the PS2 release.

    This is definitely good news together with the release of the anime, most prolly when the anime ends, the game will be launched for the console. Darn…1280×720 resolution for CLANNAD… lol

      Very surprising choice though.. The XBOX 360 is not very significant in Japan and wherever else in the world would this kind of game be markettable ?

      I see 2 possible explanations:

      - Easy to port from the PC to the XBOX so less costs involved
      - The Microsoft guy must have given them a really sweet deal to try and push the sales of the 360 over there

      OH, didn’t see that that game had already been released for the ps2… Well then it makes far more sense, they are just going for multiplatforming at little cost

      porting should be pretty easy considering it’s a Visual Novel. A little engine that displays pictures/music and text is most of it already, some decisions here and there, but for sure it’s less work than programming Final Fantasy or something.

      have to agree although the particular thing that I am interested is how they are gonna upscale it to 1280×720 without compromising quality.. hmm
