皆殺し編 - Massacre Chapter
As the chapter name implies, the final episode of this arc ends with everyone dead, however, the identity of the mastermind is revealed to Rika. The one who proclaims Oyashiro-sama
[Summary]
With Oishi and his partner dead, the organisation, “Tokyo” begins its mission to bring terror to the village of Hinamizawa. The motive, is to capture the “queen of infection” and killing the Queen s the key to their operation. The queen is none other than Furude Rika. The leader, Takano ordered her men to round up the kids but Satoko’s traps was too much for the men to handle (lol). Rena was alert and went back with the others to find Rika and Satoko being pursued by those men. With teamwork, they tackled the enemies one by one with success but their victory was nothing but a short one.
Takano fires a shot at Keiichi and takes him out. With Keiichi dead, Takano and the rest continues the hunt and one by one, they fell (just because Takano has a gun). With everyone dead and Rika is the only one alive, she damns Takano to kill her alive so that she will remember her as an enemy the next time they meet. At the shrine, Hanyuu and the rest appeared before Rika as ethereal forms and gave her courage, they will never forget this fate, what they need is a stronger will next time to fight on. Takano appeared shortly and fulfilled Rika’s wish by slitting her throat at the shrine. With Rika dead, the infection begins and orders were given out at the city to minimize the spread of the virus. The villagers were rounded up shortly and Takano proceeds with her next plan - the posioning of the villagers. A gas grenade was thrown and the villagers were dead after that. Some escaped but were gunned down by the men outside with rifles. There were people who escaped and the men proceeds to search for the escapees.
Without a curse, there is no God. With a curse, there will be horror and with horror, there will be worship. Takano proclaims herself as Oyashiro-sama. The one who proclaims God. The one who shall spread terrorism.
[Episode Thoughts]
Definitely an awesome episode for Higurashi Kai and like the game, the mastermind has been revealed - Takano. The final piece of the puzzle is at Rika’s hand, the identity of the mastermind is now exposed and what Rika and the others need is to piece the puzzle up, obtain the miracle and break free of the fate of Hinamizawa 1983. I love the music that accompanied this episode, it was with suspense, sorrow and yet with regret. Hanyuu was definitely getting moe there with her “auauauu” (lol)
With the post about Higurashi Kai being cancelled, I am not sure if there is gonna be a ep14 summary. I wish they will lift the ban. Otherwise, it is gonna be the DVD releases.

i believe it is only the tv station “teletama” took off higurashi from their airing schedule only
