    • Banzai Beat forums going away

I want to thank everyone for making the forums fun. But due to spammers I just don't want to deal with it. They make hundreds of accounts and spam the living hell out of the forums.

so on that note I'm taking them offline due to very little use and I'm not watching my bandwidth bill be sucked up my spammers.

Thanks again and look forward to a new episode in the coming days.

Good news for the anime fans living in that area, aint it ? and the screening times are at 7.30pm & 9.30pm until 11th Oct with additional slots at weekends as well. Most importantly, the screening will be be in Japanese with English subtitles.

I ain’t sure how “big/popular” this cinema is, but to get a Japanese animation movie to screen on overseas cinemas has always seem to be like quite a feat to me imo.

Hey, that’s great news! Lucky us. I’m off to confirm screening times. Pity they don’t advertise it better. There’s effectively zero information up on their web site other than the name of the film. “Paprika” had a nice run here earlier this year, also in Japanese with English subs. But that was better publicized, and the film had already been well received at the Seattle Film Festival.

Thank you so much for spreading the word on this, since there has been no information on the screening in any of the local media. Maybe the lack of news on the screening is due to The Grand Illusion Cinema is one of those places that show independent films (on visual observation). But regardless, it was great to see a quality anime film being shown in an American theater.
