The Gs are back!

This episode began by showing us a boy struggling against hordes of mobile suits which were apparently killing everything that moves. All these while the suits were chanting:
“We are fighting for god. We destroy all who do not follow tradition.”

The boy was caught in a corner and the mobile suits prepared to fire at point blank. All seemed lost until a ray of energy beam hits down from above and destroyed the mobile suit.

Next, the scene shifted to AEU’s base where they were showing off a new unit powered entirely by solar power…

…and the party was cut short by the appearance of Gundam Exia. Setsuna (the pilot) announced quietly of the beginning of the first phase. It was unknown at this point what his mission was. Apparently all electromagnetic devices were disabled in Exia’s presence and this suggested that whatever that was powering Exia caused extreme interference within its vicinity. After disabling AEU’s prototype, Setsuna announced the beginning of second phase and took to the sky. Several units started to pursue him but they were sniped off by Gundam Dynames from below.

We were shown next terrorists trying to blow up Tenchu (2nd Orbital Satellite). A mysterious girl referred to as “Princess” by her subordinates appeared and commented that the attack coincides with Sumeragi’s predictions. The terrorists fired 3 missiles at the station but they were destroyed by Gundam Kyrios’s energy beams. The commander of the terrorists approached the security center and attempted to destroy it…

Gundam Virtue came and saved the day. Like Exia, its presence caused interference to various electronic devices. At the destruction of the terrorists, Gundam Virtue announced the completion of third phase. Approaching the end, a video was circulated among TV stations and it announced that the group behind the Gundams were called Celestial Beings. Basically it sounded something like:
“We have mega powerful Gundams and we love peace. For the sake of eradicating war we will protect you. If you start wars we will kick your ass.”
Final thoughts:
Well they’re back using the typical “peace keepers” theme (Mithril from FMP comes into mind). Will definitely follow this series through. I think there’s a lot more to come =) Gundam designs took a twist from Seed/Destiny where almost every Gundam have some sort of wings… and my god look at how fat Virtue is =.=! Virtue is definitely far from those graceful bots from Eva =/
Won’t be doing episode summaries for each and every episodes. Maybe when I’m free perhaps?

from what i’ve seen this looks very promising. a fresh, new story with my favorite gundam feel. i really like the new gundams and the characters seem more mature and rational about why they are there and what they are doing.the animation is excellent right down to the fabric and designs of uniforms and backdrops.i could not get a “feel” on the music, which is a big part of the gundam world.brave people, brave music, hard battles.i am really, really looking forward to adding the 00 series to my gundam shelf.four gundams against the world? YEEEEHAAAA!!!! throttle up and start the music. i’ll be in my favorite chair (with popcorn)waiting.
