Title: Yggdra Union: We’ll never fight alone (ユグドラ・ユニオン)
Platform: Playstation Portable
Release Date: 24th Jan 2008
The PSP remake for the Nintendo GBA strategy RPG, Yggdra Union gets a newly full animated 3mins OP. The OP features characters in various exciting animated sequences and also a preview of the characters in the game. It was cool, thats for sure.
The game is scheduled for release on 24th Jan 2008 at a price of 4980yen and not much details are given as how the remake will differ from its GBA counterpart. There are a few things that definitely for the PSP which will be the addition of character vocals and the support for wide screen format.
While I’ve never played the GBA ver of the game before, the gameplay preview videos indicate a important feature that caught my attention. As I have been a fan of Dragon Force (Sega Saturn) and such related type of games, this game has a similarity to it, which is definitely exciting where you can control a small army to battle your enemy.
The game features a large cast of characters which revolves mainly around this princess, Yggdra Yuril Artwaltz whose kingdom was besieged by the Empire. The story starts (as seen in the anime OP) with the princess running with a holy sword while the enemies are chasing.
My thoughts on the game ? It is a must-play, prolly I have to borrow the UMD from my friend or something. :P

Yggdra Union is one of the best gba type RPG game i played before.. at gba level, the graphics looks good.. gameplay was card turn-based..
some formation thingy added into the gameplay.. and the last thing is that Yggdra isn’t a good character to play with at the start of the game lol.. the first male lead barbarian is the main powerhouse..

I dunno… Yggdra’s block counters ability made her work pretty nicely for me.
