Considering that they moved it to licensed titles, I wonder who also got the distro rights to Lucky Star.
Also, the movie”The Girl who leapt through time” was also moved to that list as well.

About time!! W00T!!!!! W00TW00TW00T! ^__^ Oddly enough, I thought ADV might license it >_> Whatevs.

CJ- There still is a chance ADV has gotten it. Kadokawa is the “Middle Man”, so to say. They license, then give the series to someone for production and Distribution.

Thats a bit odd. I checked my usual sorces (anime news network, anime suki, and anime nation) and none of them said anything about it.

It’s weird for me to read the words, “R1 imports” so I’m a little curious in which country you guys are located. Nevertheless, this announcement will undoubtedly make many anime fans very happy.

it is definitely good news, it is pretty not common for a new anime to get a R1 that fast.
w00t ;)

not that uncommon considering the glut of series lately that have been licensed before they’re finished in Japan..

@oOgA:
Gurren Lagann got licensed even faster — still during its run.
Anyway, Kadokawa better include tons of translators’ notes with their Lucky Star releases. But I’m excited.

WOOO I hope they don’t dub over the intro song many US fans would be pissed!
Anyway I’m checking sources and nothing has been said not even Kadokawa Pictures USA has anything about Lucky Star in the US! although shuffle is being release :P
Also Animeondvd.com listed nothing (R1 news site) and besides Kadokawa Pictures USA already owns the rights to Lucky Star they just haven’t given any american companies to distribute it for an american release so in the end of all this, this whole topic makes no sense.

100 bucks says they’ll dub the whole cast with ear-splitting voice actress.
October 18th, 2007 at 4:20 pm #oOgA
Japanese voices any time for me. :P
