[Summary]
Ok I’ve watched parts of this episode Three times to get all this down. I’m very confused on how all this related but I’ll try my best. So this show is coming from an adaptation of a galge game and I guess it has some kind of fan following, I don’t play the games so I don’t know anything that or the story going into this show.

The episode was very tough to follow and understand and seemed rather boring but lets get into it. The show starts with some kid with long hair talking about being a prince to protect someone and that has long since passed. Again I don’t know understand it! The OP of the show was very calm and serine and used black and white for the first op.

The scene cuts to a boy drawing and who receive a text message about going to a party for Christmas (it’s Christmas night) later on we find out his name is Tsutsumi Kyosuke he is out shooting “research” footage he sees a cute purple haired girl running down the street btut doesn’t get a good shot of her.

We flash forward to a church a boy is there seeking advice and runs into a rather weird girl in the church, he leaves and while watiing outside his bike is stolen by another girl. He chase her down only to find her on the street passed out. The girl eventually wakes up and they beging to talk. The guy’s name is Hiro and the girl’s is Miyako. Hiro stays with her though the night ditching a party that was planned with a few friends.

Now back to the guy with the long hair who starts the show off, he walks along some train tracks to his favorite spot to read when he sees a young girl sitting reading he tells her no trains will be arriving and thats it. The next meeting they talk longer she seems unsure that they’ve met before but the boy confirms they have.

They finally intorduce each other the boy is named Rengi and the girls name Chihiro. The girl has purple hair and an eyepatch. The more they talk the more they have in common, they both like to read fiction and carry books with them.

The next day they meet again Chihiro loses control and runs into Renji’s arms but then playsi t off as he shouldn’t think anything of it and that she was so happy. She asks to be his friend to which he asks in return and she says yes. They part ways again Chihiro is sitting all alone in the empty train station and she begins to cry again and says she shouldn’t be getting into these kind of indulges.

On another note Renji and Hiro visit the same church, Why Hiro goes there isn’t made clear. Renji goes there to speak with an adult to get his opinion. He received a paper I think about not getting into university or something and he went to the church ot seek advice about what he should do for a career. He speaks with a white haired man who isn’t a pastor but gives Renji some advice to stick with it and do what he thinks is best.

I found this episode to be very difficult to follow as I’ve already said, They showed us a lot of characters very on and it wasn’t clear where they fit in the show or atleast get some kind of understanding for each character. After watching again and talking with some peeps over in the IRC channel things were more clear and now.

Over all though I felt like the episode wasn’t laid out veyr well and tough to follow the telling of three stories is going to be interesting to say the least. But on the artwork side of things I was blown away the colors are vivid and deep the character models are very well done the environments are TOP NOTCH.

I love the artwork used the story so far I’m in the middle on but it’s only the first episode.
