Onibaba is not happy

[Summary]
The episode starts with the dam discussion by the govt bodies from Tokyo, a meeting is held in Sonozaki’s residence and the villagers aren’t happy about it. Pretty much of a commotion as they surround the representatives from the dam project. Onibaba orders the villagers to keep quiet and tells the agents that they will not agree to the proposal. While most villagers are against it, a small group disagree with Onibaba and suggest to go ahead with the project.

A man speaks up against Onibaba and that man is Satoko’s father, conflicts arise between those who are for and against the damn (pun intended) project. Onibaba warns that his decision will doom his entire family as they will get ostracized by fellow villagers from Hinamizawa. Fights ensued and the police was unable to do anything much either. Somewhere in the corner of the room, Hanyuu apologizes again and again.

At the clinic, Satoshi carries her sister for treatment, Satoko is very pale. Irie tells him that she is suffering from some kinda diseasem, it seems that Satoshi kinda hates Satoko for the trouble she brought him, her illness is what that upsets him. Somewhere, Hanyuu apologizes again for being useless and not able to do anything for them.

Protests are going on on the street but in the clinic, Irie faces trouble with the research. Takano approaches him and asks what is the problem he is facing. Irie tells her that research is not possible to carried out in the clinic as the virus dies off in air. Takano suggests a living specimen readily which sort of freaked Irie out as he did not expect such an answer. Takano leaves and makes a call for some arrangements to be made, Irie remains freaked out.

The scene shifts to Tomitake and Takano in a shed, Takano teases Tomitake which made him blush (WTF!) and asks him hows the arrangements…..

The scene shifts to another shed, a murder is taking place. A group of men attacked brutally on his supervisor with pickaxes and hammers. Hanyuu apologises again.

A flashback on why the men attacked the supervisor reveals the truth that the supervisor went mad when they were having a drinking party. Like a possessed man, their supervisor attacked them with a pickaxe. The men had no choice but retaliate. One of the men from the group starts to grow delirious (prolly infected) and suggests cutting the corpse up. The others watched in disgust and in disbelief while that man starts cutting him up.

Back at the clinic, Irie rushes to Takano if she really found a live specimen. Takano led him to a room where the man (the one who went delirious) who was strapped and spasming. Irie asks where she found the man but Takano brushes off with the word “coincidence”. However, Takano shows what was found with that man - a severed arm (aww). A while later, the results were out and Takano concludes that the man is showing the necessary symptoms. Takano asks what he is going to do next, Irie does not have any choice.

In the morgue, Ooshi makes his appearance and regrets over the death of the man and believes it has something to do with the dam protest. (which actually, it is not)

The credits roll and we have Rika and Mion together. While a conversation goes between them if Satoko is a friend of them, Rika believes someone will appear soon and trigger the change of fate. Hanyuu appears behind and is determined and will not fail

Rika

[Impressions]

No more flashbacks of Miyo’s past and it is gonna get serious from this episode onwards. Miyo is really making me hate her again, I can’t believe the others agree with what she suggested. Her teasing of Tomitake was another wtf as well and Tomitake blushes..wth. (lol). The pieces of puzzle are slowly falling into place -  Miyo’s past, Hinamizawa Syndrome, the dam history, Satoko’s father, Satoko’s brother, Hanyuu’s appearance, Rika’s determination and the “someone” who will change the fate of Hinamizawa (Keiichi). All of this just to prepare the fateful turnout of the history of Hinamizawa 1983.

and..Hanyuu dont’ have to apologise again and again. Blame it on the bitch (Takano). She deserves everything. :P  auauuauuuu
