Another show that was nearly on the chopping block due to recent events in Japan. Without the controversy surrounding the show and the content is it still a good show?
[Summary]
The show starts off with Daisuke Aoki standing outside of the class room for his first day of work. He can hear the students talking about “the new teacher” and they hope he looks cool. He composes himself and then enters the class room only to find all the girls half naked changing from there clothes.
With much embarrassment he shuts the door. Next he has finally started the class with students fully dressed! while writing his name on the black board he can hear many of the students talking about the earlier incident. He decides to start the class of with doing roll call
He calls a few names he notices the third name on the list has been absent the entire month but proceeds on calling other students names. He gets to Rin who is happy to be here but quickly steers the conversation about the teacher. She asks how old he is, he is 23 does he have a girlfriend to which he becomes flustered and tries to start doing roll call again.
Rin per claims herself as Aoki-Sensei’s girlfriend seeing as he has already seen her naked. The class errupts into laughter and name calling. Another sensei bursts though the door and demands they quiet down, Aoki is left apologizing for the disturbance.

In the teacher lounge Aoki sighs heavily another sensei by the name of Kyōko Hōin introduces herself and says that his class has always been the loudest and that he should keep trying his best. Taking the opportunity he asks about Mimi and why she hasn’t been attending school.

Hoin becomes very quiet about the question and says the last teacher left due to work related stress and that he had a hard time with the class that he would break down and cry and finally quit.
During recess the students are all play Aoki is outside as well he sees a black cat (who has been in like every anime) he calls it over to him, Rin feeds the cat saying it’s been there for a few days and that it likes to eat bread. Aoki attempts to pet the cat who scratches him. Rin wants to make him stop bleeding she places his finger in his mouth and sucks on it, the bell rings and she runs back to class. Aoki is left standing there thinking about what just happen and noticing he bled more after that.

The class day ends, Hoin and Aoki begin talking again in a stairwell, Hoin hands Aoki a book that she found that was left by the previous teacher, he is shocked what he finds inside and can’t believe one of his students would do such a thing.
Back in the class room Aoki still looking at the book when Rin walks in and says stuff like “Die, goto hell and quit teaching” shocked he says that she shouldn’t talk like that and he will be speaking with her parents, she quickly raises her skirt and says “What if I yelled help right now what would happen” Aoki then stops what he is saying.
Rin says that the last teacher made fun of her good friend Mimi and that he had to go and that she was going to do the same thing she did to the last teacher will happen to him. She then leaves.
While at a W’Donalds the girls eat Kuro asks Rin about having a crush on Aoki and about the finger sucking, she says she won’t do it again and that nobody will hurt Mimi again. Aoki visits Mimi’s house and talks with her parents, he then talks with her alone up in her room.
he starts by saying he is the new sensei and that she can come back to school, he tells himself that isn’t right, he finally spills the beans about the last teacher, after some tears she comes around and decides to come back to school. She shows him some text messages that Rin had sent, some saying it’s fun to make fun of him and play pranks, others saying he is a nice guy and seems nice.
Aoki is perplexed by this, the next day at school he peaks in before the start and sees Mimi in class, the day goes much smoother. During recess the girls can not find the cat at first, then they find it scared in a tree. Kuro runs into the staff room and yells for help saying that Rin is stuck in a tree.
Rin has climbed the tree to go after the cat, while trying to get it she says there are nice people in the world and it doesn’t need to be scared. The tree limb breaks and aoki runs and catches her.
Aoki is unconscious, he is in a bed and the girls are talking, everyone leaves but Rin stays behind for a brief moment and gives Aoki and kiss on the forehead. Aoki wakes up later on, Hoin is beside him and after a bit he is dressed and feeling better. She asks him out which he agrees too.
Hoin runs off to grab her things. Rin, Kuro and Mimi are on the stairs, Rin says they have a present for him for saving her. The other two girls ask “do they have too” finally they do it to which they grab their skirts, Aoki attempts to stop them, they flash him. Aoiki runs after them in a rage leaving Hoin by herself wondering where he went.
The ending credits play to which there is a lot of loli shots of them being nude covered by logos or wispy of white lines.
[Impression]
I saw the trailer for this show about a month and I posted in an earlier blog about reviewing this show and saying it was going to be tough to watch. Then it be came uncertain of what would happen with the show being dropped from each channel left and right.
Finally the show has aired and here we are, I thought the show would be nothing but loli shots from just watching the trailer it seemed like a glorified over the top loli show just trying to push the envelope.
I say it’s 50 / 50, the show right from the bat had half naked school girls and them in underwear. But once the story started it was actually a good watch and the characters were introduced good.
While watching it reminded me of I my me strawberry eggs, I felt like it had that vibe, with adding comedy in the show it made it very fun to watch and besides the loli shots being over the top from the point of views they decided to use I thought it was a good watch.
I’m actually glad to see that they are doing such a conversational anime this is something new and could be very interesting if done right, this is something out of the ordinary and I think it has a good chance to send a good message and do something that no other anime has yet to do.
A lot of times this season a lot of the anime has been the same and now there is something that is out there and is daring to push the boundaries of what is “right and wrong”
The only thing that bothered me was the censorship it wasn’t that I didn’t want to see it or whatever but I’m one of the people are either show it or don’t show anything, granted the things they censored was the extreme loli shots or some language.
I’m confused why they censored to begin with because I think the show airs late at night but I may be wrong.

I’m loving the ED song.
Hopes there’ll be a DVD release soon.
