[Summary]

Chihiro is seen writing in her diary about how she must be diligent about writing in her diary. We find out that she got her defect from an auto accident and she also lost her left eye. Next Renji and Chihiro are sitting on the beach, Renji is reading her diary he reads the rules she must follow. She must keep records of who she talked too and what they looked like.

She must not be a bother and finally she must not get close to anyone. Renji will starts to read ahead but is quickly stopped by Chihiro. She says that it’s problem doing all this and she explains how her memory is only 13 hours long hour after hour each hour memory fades.

Next she talks about letting it all go and disappearing into nothing, not bothering anyone, not having to write so much and just letting go everything. Finally Renji and Chihiro part ways he says “see you tomorrow”

The next day it rains, Renji stays back at school, his thoughts remain about Chihiro and he wonders if he is taking advantage of her and what it all really means because she can’t remember anything and what does it all mean. He remembers what Himura said about being prepared to be by her side.

Later that night Renji mets up with a lost friend name Kuze, Renji wants to talk bot they decide to talk later. The next day Renji runs to the station to find Himura sitting whee Chihiro would be, he saids he is a messenger and that she is sick. He then asks he didn’t show up, that when he said see you tomorrow that was a promise that she would not break, because she doesn’t exist she keeps promises. Renji felt terrible their arc ends.

Kei is running down the street, she is much faster then everyone else and finds Hiro sitting on a bench, she gives him a hard time about actually being to school and early for once. Hiro had been up all night finishing a manga that he got to his editor in time.

While day dreaming on top the of roof Miyako comes up and says “Guess who” they chit cat and she insists that he follow her. The two end up walking around town and end up at a cafe. Another girl from school happens to see them together. While talking the class mat thinks Miya is his girlfriend and he denies it. She then thinks that Kei can still come take him away to which again he denies too. By this time Miya has run away from the table leaving the other two alone!

Back at school Kyōsuke is showing off his film to his club members to which the club buries it calling it unfocused and making no sense and that it won’t win any prizes at the contest. Dis heartened Kyōsuke takes a walk, his girlfriend asks says that lately he has become hard to understand and asks if they should break up, he doesn’t say yes or not but asks if she could write a letter to the president saying he is leaving the club. He then walks off to a broken part of town he notices a broken building and starts talking to himself. He says that he is going to film what he wants, to then a ghost girl shows up and asks what he would want to film and he says “dreams” the girl then disappears.

Kei has now gotten wind of Hiro skipping class, she is upset that he would skip class and puts down Miya calling her a bad student and a known trouble maker. Hiro is upset that she would put down Miya and she asks him if he himself knowns Miya that well to which he says no, he’s only known her since Christmas. Kei then believes that he skipped out on Christmas to spend time with Miya and the episode ends.

[Impression]

Wow this episode was so much easier to follow and much easier to summarize while writing. The story has gotten very interesting but yet I feel the whole story with Kyōsuke is tacked on as if the main two stories isn’t enough to hold the attention of the viewer.

Maybe in later episodes it will all start to click as the story goes on but so far it’s been kind of thrown in there and always referred too every now and then but nothing happens that affects the main storyline happening in the show.

I thought this was a great episode we learned more about Chihiro and her condition and how she really tries and values each day but how she also wants it all to end. Why does it seem so many characters in anime want to end their life because of something is this some kind of trend?

I look forward to the next episode.
