Ima da badass!
In this episode AEU sent troops to The Republic of Moralia because they need Moralia’s PMC for space development. The anime’s definition for PMC is “a civilian corporation that handles deployment of mercenaries, training of military personals, weapons transport and development and maintenance of a private army”. Obviously the AEU considered the possibility of an attack by the Celestial Beings - but decided to go on ahead because they need human resources and technical expertise of the military contractors.
Allelujah was screwed for abandoning his mission to save the colony that Sora blew off. After a brief solitary confinement he was released and back in action - this time on the mission to disrupt the military collaboration of both AEU and Moralia.
One thing I like about this series is the trouble that the animators took to ensure that the UIs used are futuristic/cool looking. It was present since the beginning of the series - either in the form of computer displays or gadgets.
Examples in this episode:

Both Exia and Dynames received new toys, which was basically a pumped up sword for Exia and a pair of huge shields for Dynames. Later in the battle scenes, Haro took charge of the new shields while Lokon fired away. Exia finished off his enemies in a rather flashy battle using the new sword (a rather fancy service shot if you asked me) but was confronted by a mysterious new enemy in a blue bot.

It was clear from Setsuna’s flashbacks and the pilot’s verbal taunts that this guy was Setsuna’s former comrade when he was still fighting as a guerrilla. The episode ends as both robots eye each other.
A final screenshot…

… which serves as the perfect companion for this guy.
