    • Banzai Beat forums going away

I want to thank everyone for making the forums fun. But due to spammers I just don't want to deal with it. They make hundreds of accounts and spam the living hell out of the forums.

so on that note I'm taking them offline due to very little use and I'm not watching my bandwidth bill be sucked up my spammers.

Thanks again and look forward to a new episode in the coming days.

  • In this video found in SpikedHumor.com, it talks about the junior idols found in Japan where some are as young as 10-12. Is this a kind of unhealthy trend that should be controlled in Japan or totally banned. Are parents responsible for this ? Some finds it unacceptable, some finds it ok.

In this video, a parent of a loli idol has being interviewed and without shame, the parent himself even take sexy photos of his daughter.

Are you a lolicon? Are you for or against such a kind of hobby.

As the great Izumi Soujirou-san once said: “I am not a lolicon. I am ALSO a lolicon.” ^^

A hobby is one thing. As long you do not take it to unhealthy or illegal (best word I can come up with) levels, it should be fine.

I don’t like they way they are drawing a link to anime though. That topic has been discusse to death already.

I feel really sorry for the girls being pulled into something that makes them into sexual objects when they are too young to understand what it implies. Anime lolis are completely different as they are just drawings after all.

anyway, the video was very interesting.

I wonder if the girls were scouted? Or did they want to do this? Or did their parents encourage them to do so?

Depending on the answer, it changes the fact of them being exploited to a certain degree. Though I do not deny the fact that they ARE being exploited since as ik said, they are too young to understand the implications.

      Lolicon: No. Anime2D-lolicon: Yes.

All this is happening based on society and the way people are abandoning their traditions for modern culture. THIS is why China, Japan and Russia had anti-foreig-stuff-laws in effect many years ago. This is also why you get scolded by your grandparents when you do something untraditional.

Some things can’t be governed by law, and tradition takes the lead in making sure that everything remains within ethical boundaries. With us modernizing everything, saying it’s okay to wear non-black to funerals, wearing shoes into someone else’s house, showing off “some” skin is okay - everything will slowly break down into a chaotic, uncontrollable mess.

And I do feel that the girls are not psychologically aware of what the videos are meant for (hentais to whack off to). They may know it, but don’t understand that it’s borderline porn, and no sane fifteen-year old would want to be violated in that manner right? Imagine being at that age, forced to wear a swimsuit and then have a room of hentai’s staring at you with lust. w-t-h?
