Hayate no Gotoku explodes in the biggest battle of the series so far!

Episode 39 is probably the best Hayate has to offer thus far. Not only do you get awesome action in the form of the longest and most blatant Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann spoof I have ever seen complete with the same animation style, but you also get Hayate, in full nekomimi glory! No less! There were so many references and spoofs in this episode I can’t even be bothered to list them. Okay, just to name a few, there was Neo Genesis Eva, Ouran High School Host Club, Dragonball…

Although there were some parts where the animation got pretty crude, Hayate has nonetheless outdone itself this time in my book.
