  • Goodbye Sky Girls!

One OVA and 26 episodes later,it is time to finally say good bye to Sky Girls. I enjoyed the show overall as it had an interesting story (the world is a huuuuge organism and we are the cancerous cells ^^) with alot of depth and plenty of thought provoking scenes.

Okay who am I kidding? Cute girls in skin-tight flight suits piloting exoskeleton mecha to destroy giant monsters made up of tens of thousands of cells the size of your head. What more can you ask?

On a more serious note, while the ending of the battle segment in episode 25 left me kinda cold, the last episode pretty much concludes the story quite nicely. While the name initially did not really catch my interest, after watching the OVA, I was pretty much quite into it. It became a series I looked forward to watching and while it may not hold a candle to shows like Gurren Lagann, it is still worth your time to watch.

If you want to see what this series has to offer, I recommend you watch the OVA (it aired first) as it pretty much sums up the whole direction of the series and what to expect.

You just know you want to see them in action…

      I’ll miss Eika the most…

At least we still have some DVD specials left (the fishing ones).
