[Summary]
Takayuki Senji are helping put Haruka’s belongings in her fathers car, The nurse (smoking a cig WTF) comes out and says that she’s good to go and they exchange a few words and go to leave.
On the roof of the hospital Mitsuki stands on the roof watching what is happening below, she makes a phone call and and sheds some tears. Down below the car starts to pull away but Harukasays stop the car. She gets out and swears she saw Mitsuki on the roof.
Senji tells Takayuki to check his phone, he has a voice message from Mitsuki, she says that she wants to keep the ring a little longer and she’ll keep her promise to him. Haruka says that she is a dear friend and they all have to be strong and she’s doing whats best for her. They all start crying and the title screen splashes.
A flashback to Haruka’s accident is shown, she is holding the two tickets and wonder where takayuki could be, you then hear a car and she then sees the car and you hear crashing. Suddenly Haruka springs from her sleep shaken and shivering.
Suddenly the phone rings its Takayuki, in her voice you can tell she isn’t alright, he asks her about it but says she’s fine. They plan to meet shortly. Takayuki shows up and greets Haruka still clumbsy as always she falls down the stairs and he catches her. Outside they walk downtown.
Several cars are whizzing by Takayuki asks haruka to walk on his right side saying it’s just better, they prepare to cross the road a loud cary drives bye and Haruka has a flashback to her accident she squeezes his hand and he holds her close reassuring her that he is there to protect and nothing bad will happen.
while walking they pass an appliance store and Takayuki stops, haruka asks why but he brushes it iff and they continue. They goto a bookstore where they talk about where they first met, then a burger joint and continue talking about how they first met and Haruka gets emotional causing a scene to which both are embarrassed.
Finally they goto the zoo, the same zoo Takayuki and Mitsuki visited. They go into the same tunnel of fish and while Haruka is watching the fish, Takayuki sees Mitsuki he gets freaked out and quickly hugs haruka, he explains that Mituki and him went there but he loves Haruka and doesn’t mean anything by it.
After that they go back to his place, Takayuki makes some ice tea, Haruka asks if he still loves Mitsuki after a slight pause he says yes very much so then he explains about his awful depression and how she turned his life around, She then says she loves her too.
Noticing the time haruka says that he has to get ready for work, Takayuki says he has the day off and cuddles up close to Haruka they begin to kiss when his phone rings, Takayuki tries to ignore it but Haruka mentions it so he answers. It’s his manager he gets asked to come to work early he says he’ll be in about half an hour then makes it an hour.
Haruka says taht he should go and she can walk herself home it’s not a bother, he says that work is work and Haruka is Haruka and right now Haruka is more important to him then work. Takayuki walks her home and runs to work.
While doing homework in her room Akane comes home from her swim club and talks to Haruka for awhile. Akane says how much Takayuki has changed and that he even skipped work just to be with her the day of the discharge. She says that he tries to make as much time for her and that he has been letting his work slip but it must be because Haruka surei s loved.
Then haruka gets a phone call and it’s Takayuki “right on time as ususal”. The next day they go to a movie about love and Takayuki falls asleep after the movie they go to Haruka’s house with the family. Haruka’s father has seem to taken a shine to Takayuki he asks to share beer with him.
He says that he doesn’t have a drinking partner and would love one, they each have a glass of beer and then her father says that he is welcome to their house anytime. Haruka seems shocked and they each have another beer. Before leaving Takayuki asks what they will be doing tomorrow, Haruka must goto the hospital for a check up, he asks to come with and she tries her hardest to make it seem boring so he doesn’t come finally she gives in.
At the hospital Haruka checks out, the nurse asks about how things are and mentions Takayuki, she says that Haruka is lucky to have someone like him and she must be loved. Taking the words she puts her wants aside. When they walk out Haruka asks “what are we doing next”
They go back to the trainstation where they went together, During the trip, Haruka falls asleep, They get there and they sit where they sat so long agao. Takayuki mentions that he made meat pie and now Haruka realizes what he was looking at. Takayuki says he tried several times and hopes all his practice paid off.
Between bites they talk about each others dream, She asks him what his dream is, Takayuki says it’s his dream to get a better job to take care of Haruka, Haruka gets tears and her eyes and says thank you, they decide to go back home.
While walking to the train, Haruka is pulling behind takayuki, he steps aboard and she stops. Haruka says “Takayuki….. I think we need to say goodbye” The door shuts and Takayuki is confused and yells for Haruka as the train pulls away. Haruka stays on the platform as Takayuki looks in disbelief.
He stays on the train as people push him away from the door when he tries to leave to find her Haruka drops to her knees and cries as the show ends.
[Impression]
I’m a huge fan of this show, I enjoyed it very much and after reading many people’s opinions on the show I can really tell that many people gathered many prospectives of the show. Personally I found the show to be very heart breaking and real but I also felt like if Takayuki and Mitsuki talked about what was happening instead of acting in a self destructive manner and find ways to get away from the problem things could of worked out better.
I was quite happy to see this new episode I first thought this was the one and only episode and when the ending happened I was yelling at my TV, because it seems like this show can never end on a good note. I guess you can say the TV did but it felt wrong.
I’m not sure how to really say how I feel about what took place because I can think of good reasons for both people.
Haruka:
Takayuki was not letting her be free to do her own thing he had to be there to make sure everything went smoothly.
He always wanted to spend time with her, not leaving her to do her own thing
Was getting in to well with the famiy especially her dad, maybe felt like it was too much too soon.
Takayuki:
He finally gets to relive what he lost, he almost say his girlfriend die and now he can make up for so much lost time.
He doesn’t want to see Haruka in another accident and will do anything to make sure that doesn’t happen.
Wants to make up for lost time
Wants it to be like it was before the accident.
The whole call from Mitsuki threw me for a loop as we don’t know what she meant and I guess only time will tell. I don’t know if this was a good thing for Takayuki this could put him in a further depression or even be suicidal.
Maybe Mitsuki will come and save the day again, with only 3 episodes total things will indeed move fast in the end I really hope for a happy ending that makes you feel good I’m not a fan of sad or bad endings just because I watch anime for fun and enjoy and with Rumbling Hearts sometimes the show touched on some very personal issues that I’ve dealt with in my own life though my relationships in the past.
But on that note that is what made the show so great is because it wasn’t that standard “Boy likes girl” anime it was real with real emotion and you really got to get a feel for the characters and what they went though.
