I feel really sorry for her…Poor thing *sob*

Mysteries abound in Episode 2!

The abuse in this episode also goes up a notch, as we see some really cruel treatment on Hayami, verbal or physical, by the students.

Since both choco and I did a episode 1 review at the same time, we decided to do some thing new here at Anime Banzai. A joint episode review! Took us awhile to plan it but here it is! Enjoy ^^.

[Hayami and Hinata]

I was abit surprised to find out that Hinata was Hayami’s childhood friend. But it seems that a big fire of some sort soured their relationship. What caused the fire? Was it Hayami’s fault? I have my doubts on this. In episode 1, Hayami mentioned that she hated her surname. I’m guessing that it might mean she hates her parents (who do not seem to be around). Could her parents be the cause of the fire? The fire would be a likely reason why the village hates her so bad. Hayami herself seems resigned to the abuse she suffers. Something that looks like a guilt complex to me.

Hinata’s parents haven’t made an appearance at all so far. Could the fire be the cause? Is this why Hinata hates Hayami? Although judging by all her regretful expressions since episode 1, I think Hinata’s feelings towards Hayami are more complex than just hate.

And what is Hirose’s relationship with the Kagura family to warrant them to keep tabs on his movements? Could this be related to the train scene in episode 1?

Everything is center around this fire. Is it in fact that the fire is the cause for all these problems? Or did more develop as time went on? The flashback that was shown in this episode was that of Hinata and Hayami. And for unknown circumstances a fire erupted out. Is it truly Hayami’s fault that cause the fire? What did happen to the parents? I don’t think that it was the parents since they aren’t involve in the story.

The only fact of how people hate Hayami is of this fire. Yeah I agree on that there is more than hate that Hinata feels towards Hayami. The question that is burning into my brains is why? I’m thinking that someone died in that fire.

How is there a relationship? A few days ago or so, Hirose transfer into this school not knowing anybody. So how would he be connected?

[Otoha]

Otoha continues to be as mysterious as ever. She appears to Hirose (with a tackle, no less) for a short while only to quickly disappear mysteriously when others arrive. I suspect Otoha is somehow linked to both Hayami and Hinata, if the ED sequence is anything to go by.

In the first episode, Otoha refer herself as a spirit. It looks like so far that Hirose can only see her. I rewatch the ending and there does seem to be some kind of bond between Otoha and Hayami and Hinata. Maybe they were all friends. And those pinwheels are making no absolute sense to me.

[Tabata Yui]

Looks like we finally know the names of her Goon squad. They are…Goon A and Goon B…. Yeah… very original indeed.

Yui seems very over-zealous in punishing Hayami. It makes me think that she has a stake in this whole thing (maybe the fire?). Since the next episode is [Hinata], i guess we won’t know more until after episode 3.

Yui enjoys punishing Hayami for some cause. I believe it strings off from the fire and not the fire intentionally. Hinata is to be focus in the next episode. It might reveal what grudge she has on Hayami.

[Hirose and Hayami]

But all’s not bad for Hayami as we see a budding love between her and Hirose. Although it is probably obvious by now, Hirose is most likely a key element is resolving whatever is in between Hinata and Hayami. However, this budding love will not be easy on them seeing as how Yui and her goons nearly gave Hirose a beating. I suppose next episode will see how the class and most importantly, Hinata responds to this dynamic.

And as usual, we will have our random shots ^^.
