    [Hinata and Hayami]

Hinata’s “steal Hirose-sama from Hayami” plan goes into full swing as she tries all means and measures to keep Hirose away from Hayami. She goes to his house to fetch him to school, she cooks a bento for him, and even invites him to her house. This causes Hayami to re-evaluate what Hirose means to her.

However, Hinata’s grandfather seems to have a hand in this. It looks like he enforces strict discipline on Hinata by demanding that she be a “good girl”, whatever that maybe. And he seems to be the one forcing Hinata to get close to Hirose. Why the interest in Hirose and why forcing Hinata to do this is still unknown. In the meantime, Hirose discovers that Hinata was the only friend Hayami had in her childhood and confronts Hinata with this fact. From the way Hinata reacted, I’d say that Hinata still has feelings for Hayami (not that kind!). But it seems her grandfather disapproves.

This can be seen in the revelation of the details of the fire hinted in episode 2. It seems the house being burned was Hayami’s and not Hinata’s as I expected. That would explain by Hayami lives in 2 run down trams. What is more surprising was that the house was burned down by the villagers as revenge for Hayami’s association with Hinata. So it seems the enmity extends to Hayami’s family and not to herself only. Why, we still do not know.

It also seems Hinata has had a sister, who is dead. Why, How, When, Whom, it is not known. However, I’m sure it will be linked somehow.

Hinata should get a life or at least live it as it was her own, but nooo she has to listen to her grandpa and be a good innocent girl which is stupid. If she didn’t have to live up to her name, then Hayami and Hinata wouldn’t be enemies and fight over Hirose.

What the hell is wrong with these villagers? Just burn down Hayami’s house so that her and her family would stay away. from them, so that Hayami won’t hang out with Hinata anymore because she might make Hinata a bad girl.

So Hinata had a sister. I’m as puzzled as you are nutcase. Who was she?

Hirose wanted their hatred to disappear, but as Hirose drag Hinata to talk with Hayami, she kisses him. 0_0 Hayami is shocked. And now more rivalry will begin. Is it that hard for Hinata to be friends with Hayami again?

    [Promised One VS Destined One]

Previously in the first episode, we heard Otoha call Hirose the “Promised One”. Now we have Hinata calling Hirose her “Destined One”. However, from her half-hearted confession to Hirose, I sense that this is something being forced upon her (by her grandfather most likely…). But it seems we have some kind of prophecy going on here.

Maybe grandpa has a secret agenda for Hinata.

    Playing safely behind the shadows?

    [Otoha]

Once again, Otoha does her magic act. I’m starting to think she IS a spirit of some sort, considering that she keeps referring to herself as such and Hinata has never heard of Otoha despite both of them wearing the same school uniform.

I lol’ed at Hayami doing the swearing thing in the preview…and the eyecatch as well….

Next story is [Hamaji]. I wonder what her side will be?

This is just my opinion, but YUI reminds me greatly of Haruhi (Suzumiya), and Hinata speaks somewhat like Mikuru (-beam). Anyone second that? I can’t get it out of my head, honestly.

Where’s Hamaji in all this? ( ¬ ¬) I thought she was part of the word “H2O” or “HHO” however you want to see it! At least give her 1 minute of screen time! And yes, I am rooting for Hamaji in all of this, I think she’s the most unique character so far besides Hayami, who gets the award for “first anime bishoujo who gets beaten up bad”.

Otoha is a spirit considering the several hints that have been put out. In the first episode, she even said she was a spirit. In the second episode, she vanishes when Hirose calls out to the group. And now, Hinata has never heard of her and when Hirose wants to introduce her she’s gone.

The next episode is about Hamaji. so Hiyuu you should be happy or even dancing with excitement.

Whoa the mid-cutscenes never fail to make me bawl over in laughter. Controversial and absolutely hilarious, I would say they are on par with mid-cuts like Hayate no Gotoku and Shakugan no Shana.

    hehehe the eyecatches are cute!

I wonder what will be feature in the next eyecatch.

The best theory currently is that Otoha is the spirit of Hinata’s dead sister…

Take a close look and think about it.

@Zzz…: never saw it that way. that makes absolute sense that Otoha could be Hinata’s dead sister, but when Hirose talk about Otoha to Hinata, it didn’t make her startle or anything.

Just my take on things…course I may be completely off.

…Besides…’Otoha’ may not be using her real name…kind of like how the collective dead of one’s family becomes the ‘Ancestor’ that watches over you in some faiths…
