“You fail at life if you don’t watch this show!”

They are back! And they ain’t pulling no punches!

Minami-ke Okawari is one of the more anticipated series this season (for me anyway). However, there were concerns regarding how Okawari would turn out since it was done by someone else. I am glad to say, however, that such concerns turned out to be unfounded and Minami-ke is, as far I as can see, the same old. Yet different ^^ ; the main difference being the drawing style of the characters. Yet, although this takes some getting used too, it is by no means unpleasant. Character-wise, we still see sweet and hawt Haruka, genki Kana, the great teruterubozu Chiaki-sama and of course, Mako-chan ^^.

A big surprise in my book is the OP, which got me wondering if I was watching the wrong show. The song is something you would expect from an action or mecha series, not a slice of life show like Minami-ke. They pretty much spoofed the typical scenes you would see in a action/mecha, even including a gundam-like launch of Fujioka(the bear).

Another series to follow this season. I know I’m waiting for every episode with anticipation ^^. And no, I won’t be doing reviews for this series.
