Welcoming the year of the Rat, here’s something for you hikkikomori’s to enjoy.

Now get out there and start farming some angbaos! GOTTA COLLECT THEM ALL!
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! I hope you managed to sneak a COSPA T-shirt into the pocket money your parents gave you to buy new clothes. If you didn’t, that’s a tip of what to do next year ;)
(A few shots of my humble CNY “home celebration” after the break, for the bored and curious.)
With her red hair and red eyes, dress her in a “cheong sam”
and Nyuu would be the ideal girl to bring home on CNY!
Followed a friend to walk around Bugis Street, a local “budget shopping” paradise in Singapore. Being the eve of the public holiday of the majority race of Singapore, it was awfully crowded. No, not the kind of crowded you get when you go to Thailand weekend markets, but here it’s bad enough because of the pushing, ugly faces of inconsiderates and your little reward is seeing a pretty girl who dressed up like a Japanese street kid with a very cool sparkly cap (not the hiphop bling ones, but the Jpop kind that you would see someone like Ayumi wearing), smooth white complexion and dressed in black jeans and a thin sweater. I for one, do not seem to be attracted to the art of “showing off alot of skin”, so there.
And then there’s DINNER! Everyone looks forward to Chinese New Year for three two things: 1) the FOOD 2) the ANGBAOs 3) the HOT COUSIN THAT U ONLY GET TO SEE ONCE A YEAR. As you can tell, number 3 doesn’t apply to me since I only have … I think 2 girl cousins, of which one is too thin and the other is too tomboyish. That’s a good thing, my family will never have to worry about inbreeding and the problems that come with it.

Above: I grew up in a Japanese neighbourhood, my mom has a liking towards Japanese culture AND food (lucky me ^^) so we had steamboat styled dinner, better known as “Nabe” in Japanese cuisine. Shabu-shabu beef with sauce, meatballs, cabbage, mushrooms and konyaku noodles! Better still, I turned the TV on, and the classic MAHJONG movie was on. Instant WIN.
So that’s my CNY eve, how was yours? I believe the celebrations officially start TOMORROW, and I’ll be making a trip overseas to visit my relatives on my mom’s side! It’ll only be a one day trip, but thank goodness for the holidays. Time to load up my ipod with Shiina Ringo discography… ENJOY THE HOLIDAYS! (My lucky goldfish, named “koi = 恋” which has survived in my care since Natsu Matsuri`07. Miracle, yes? I hope it will last through the CNY week, it has some sort of LUCK AURA, i think.)
P.S. I just realised that the moe picture i posted at the start is quite fap-material. I STRONGLY SUGGEST that you wash your hands since you’ll have to shake alot of elderly hands. If number 3 applies to you and you wish to not wash your hands, then it’s your call, you sick bastard.

Nyuu is from Elfen Lied, one of my Top 10 favourites.
The first picture was grabbed during a random meta search using the keywords “Chinese New Year”. If any of you know who she is, do let me know!
