Continuing from where oOgA-sama left off :)
I think this would be one of the best animes of 2007 ^^
This episode is about Mine Ryutaro, a violin player who loves rock. He also thinks he’s great and people can’t keep up with his “artistic” abilities. His violin exam is next week and no pianist is willing to accompany him ( he’s playing Beethoven’s Violin Sonata No.5 “Spring” ). He then meets Nodame and convinces her to accompany him with food ( Noda and I get swayed so easily by food >.> ).
Mine full of himself >.>
Nodame asks Chiaki to supervise her on her playing while making him cook for her again ^^ ( The food always looks so delicious >.< )

Lol, I’ll wager that he cooks better than most mothers out there :D

Nodame-chan in bliss ^^
Mine and Nodame resume their practice and Mine treats Nodame to more food. Chiaki sees this and is irked by the fact that Nodame loyalties are bound to food only ( do we sense a tinge of jealousy already ? ^^ )
Saiko later interrupts Chiaki who is in the midst of relaxing to Vieira’s new CD who mistakenly thinks is Nodame. Nodame chances by is struck with horror.

>.< がんばって Nodame-chan !
Nodame loses all spirit and Mine gets worried and after some probing, discovers Chiaki is the cause of it.
Saiko bitches about a new girl that took her place in the new opera “The Magic Flute” and Chiaki gets sick of it. He runs her down and noted that he used to be like that not too long ago.
Meanwhile, Mine convinces Nodame to doll herself up to attract Chiaki with her…womanly charm. Nodame ends up looking like a ghost as she has never done make-up. Chiaki is appalled by her looks and scolds Mine. He proceeds to demonstrate to Mine how horrible he is and breaks his heart in the process.

Chiaki and Nodame then play together :) Think it was the only scene where Chiaki plays the violin and Nodame the piano.
The next day Nodame delivers Chiaki’s advice and cries over the fact that he has no talent and sucks compared to Chiaki. Nodame comforts him afterwards saying that Chiaki was actually praising him and that he just takes a unique intepretation.
On the day of the exam, Nodame falls sick due to her skimpy halter-neck dress ( weak body perhaps ? ). Chiaki is left with the option of kissing Nodame-chan ( wish he did ^^ ) or helping Mine out. Chiaki explains to him that he has been playing the piano and violin ever since he was young.

The exam goes smoothly and Mine decides to live his life for classical.
Personal thoughts: A fair bit of frames that are reused and watching the audience’s faces can be a bit boring…but still great nevertheless. Brilliant OP and ED which deserves 5 stars ^^
