    “Lets begin shall we…”

As promised in Episode 3, Hot Yuri Action!

Not! The whole dang episode was a tease without showing anything T_T.

Anyway, for this episode we get the story of a girl (Yahiro Ran) whose mother ran off with another guy. Turns out said guy jilted her mother, who then died. That’s where our dear Fumika comes in.

    [Overall Impressions]

I like how this series deals with real life issues as well as the depiction of the involved characters’ despair, sadness and in this case, anger and frustration. Dealing with the percieved betrayal of your mother is not easy. And I liked the touch of Ran becoming lesbian (or maybe just hating guys) due to her perception that it is the guy’s fault for stealing her mother away. Not to mention it titilates the senses and makes the episode 5 times better to watch ^^ .

The way the episode ended with the revelation that Ran’s mother secretly attended all her tennis rehearsals and matches was quite heartwarming. While forgiveness may be given, the time taken for the emotional scar to heal is probably long in coming.

Hot Yuri Action is fine too ^^
Moving onwards, we get an insight on how Fumika’s organisation works, which is pretty much close to your average postal service with each postal worker assigned a particular area to manage. Save the fact that each worker gets a kickass talking staff with 4 digit numbered abilities that you shout out to activate.

    keep em lolis coming!

This episode’s surprise gem, however, is the appearance of yet another loli by the name of Chiaki and her standard issue staff Matoma. Chiakai, despite her loli-ness, is apparently older than Fumika. She reveals what we have suspected long ago, that Shigofumi postal workers are indeed dead people. However, Fumika seems to be an exception since she ages despite being supposedly dead. I’m guessing this has something to do that girl lying in that hospital bed.

    [Kanaka]

I feel Kanaka deserves a special mention here. Initially in the first episode, I found her to be a pain in the ears. However, as the series goes on, Kanaka’s charm has grown on me as she begins to show that she may actually be a person’s personality trapped in a staff. Kanaka’s wit and easily agitated personality makes her a joy to listen to, especially the banter between her and the sullen Fumika.
