I want to thank everyone for making the forums fun. But due to spammers I just don't want to deal with it. They make hundreds of accounts and spam the living hell out of the forums.

Watching the Cherry blossoms fall can be very relaxing…

Sora is alone this episode with Asou on a trip to the dentist and Hazuki off shopping. Perfect for a recap episode!

A time for nostalgia and recollections as Sora, while sketching from a photo of the Art Club, proceeds think about the different members of the Art Club.

Sora realises how her friends in the Art Club have helped her overcome her shyness, eventually giving her the courage to step out of her shell and for the first time introduce herself to someone.

“Kajiwara…Sora desu…”

This closes the last episode of Sketchbook. Although rather late in coming, it is befitting of the series since it advocates such a “My Pace” attitude ^^. I have really enjoyed watching this series through its run. Next up, I am really looking forward to Hidamari Sketch x365. We all need a nice relaxing show somewhere. Not forgetting ARIA of course.

Speaking of which, I was very surprised by this at the end lol. Very befitting though.

“Hmm…hmm…” meets “Ha-hi!”

I just LOVED the ARIA meets Sketchbook picture at the very end. That solidified my appreciation for the show even more. I still think ARIA is superior but Sketchbook is a nice “little sister” companion.

Agreed. ARIA has more deeper themes, leaning more towards emotions and feelings. Sketchbook is more superficial regarding themes and leans more towards comedic relief.

However, I feel both shows did (in ARIA’s case, still doing) a good job in sending their messages across in their own unique way. So in that respect I think they are both equally good.

I actually cried…twice…and it’s only minutes apart…

Really…the last part of Sora imagining her friends being with her and she calls Natsumi and Hazuki is just really…tear jerking…even at least a bit…

I really loves Sketchbook, I spend a good time with this series.
The end just make me cry, I consider Sketchbook has one of the best anime series of the fall season (2007) despite being a bit ignored.
