Even cats get Shigofumis too!

Even the sullen Fumika has a soft side too!

More hi-jinx as both Fumika and Chiaki recieve letters addressed to the same cat. Apparently being both dead and Shigofumi postal workers doesn’t grant you powers to talk to animals, resulting in a very interesting chase after a very agile cat.

[Overall Impressions]

This episode’s shigofumi story is one of a pet who returns to it’s old home after the death of its owners, an old couple who each sent a letter to the cat. While touching in its own right, such a story is pretty worn out. Also, this story only serves as a support for the main story of Fumika as we can see the series is shifting from “story of the week” mode to an extended story arc featuring Fumika.

More of Fumika past is revealed, this time through Kaname. After his encounter with Fumika in episode 3, Kaname goes into full investigation mode to find out Fumika’s whereabouts. His search leads him to a hospital where the comatose girl lies. Though not before an unexpected encouter with Fumika.

O.o

We learn that Kaname had a crush on Fumika back in middle school, though she rejected him. However, this rejection may be more than meets the eye. More importantly, the following things were revealed.

-The comatose girl IS Mikawa Fumika
-She has been comatose ever since killing her father
-Fumika is aware/semi-aware of her unique situation

Why Fumika killed her father remains unknown. However, judging from her father’s character shown in the beginning of the episode, I have a feeling the reason ain’t gonna be pretty. Maybe Fumika wasn’t beautiful enough?

On a side note, Fumika shows off her softer side as we discover she is afraid of cats!

However, don’t mess with her or she’ll smack you around with Kanaka and rob you of your money like she did on these 2 guys. I lol’ed when Kanaka shouted out in pain when Fumika used her to hit those guys. (It sounds funnier than how I write it)
