The next theme for Anime Banzai! - a refreshing feeling ?

1000th post for Anime Banzai! and the next change of theme (Anime Banzai 4) is undergoing. I wont be using K2, decided to use a simple theme and add-on from there, making modification easier. However, I have not decided if I should upgrade wordpress to 2.3.3 or the upcoming 2.5. Most prolly, many things will break apart in 2.5, particularly plugins.
There will be a general breakdown of most categories and renaming of them, I felt dumb with the complicated names that I came up for the categories. Some of the exclusive names will still retain.
Wordpress 2.5 (there is no 2.4) will provide a total facelift to the admin interface and also includes a widget based dashboard (omg! i sense something is gonna break!) . There is also a undo feature for comment editing. You can check it out here on the Wordpress Codex

As for Wordpress, since many plugins will break, it’s up to you whether you want to wait for 2.5-compatible plugins or stick with 2.3.3. The only problem with the latter is that you’ll have (want) to upgrade soon after 2.5 plugins roll out.
I’d wait until 2.5 is released and then figure out what to do from there. It’s March 10, I believe? Yeah, no point in retheming now because it’s more work to upgrade later =P

hey Ooga you may want to check out this plugin http://smithsrus.com/downloads/wordpress-upgrade-preflight-check/
it runs a check on your plugins before updrading to WP2.3 used it on my old site just before its demise had only 1 plugin that failed which was disabled.

yea..but some might not work in 2.3.3.. not too sure. I will just observe first. there is no rush in upgrading a theme
