    The penny drops…

    [Short Summary]

    summary.jpg

Last episode, Fumika was shot by Kirameki. Kirameki gets his ass whooped by Kaname and ends up locked in a room to cool off. Meanwhile Fumika proceeds to spill the beans on her past, wrapping up quite a few loose ends nicely.

    [Overall Impression]

    Wow.

Mulitple personality disorder(MPD) was one of the suspicions I least expected. But it sure as hell explains alot.

We now know why Kirameki’s works are draftless. He does it on Fumika’s body (Horrors!). This would explain the sudden hand grabbing in the previous episode as well as that short sequence in the OP.

The divorce seems to have hit Kirameki pretty hard. Unfortunately, Fumika has alot of her mother in her. As a result, he uses Fumika as a vent of sorts for his frustration as well as a writing pad for his inspiration, which seems to come from his rage too. It was interesting, but not surprising, to note that the abscence of his works in recent years was because he no longer had Fumika to write on.

mpd.jpgWatching Fumika torn by both her fear and love for Kirameki was both riveting and sad. So much so that Fumika develops MPD, splitting into Fumi-chan (dere dere) and Mika-chan (tsun tsun), in a bid to find someone to confide in. I wonder if it is a typical trait or is it sterotypical for MPD sufferers to have a aggressive and a submissive character?

So now we know the chain of events. Kirameki goes into a particularly nasty bout of abuse and Mika, in her bid to defend Fumi, shoots Kirameki. Fumi, thinking that it is her fault then slips into a coma. So in a sense, Fumika is only “half-dead” which is why Mika-chan still ages. I wonder if the organisation considered that part in her resume when she applied for the job?

The ending for this whole fiasco was kinda “meh” for me. “You continue writing and pay for Fumika’s hospital bills or we’ll rip you a new one”. Not very convincing to a sane person if you ask me. Then again, Kirameki doesn’t look that sane either.

Another question, if Kirameki wasn’t paying for Fumika’s hospitalisation then who was?

In the next episode has the title [Reunion]. Looks like Fumika’s mother, Aizawa Kirei, is making an appearance. It is also the anime’s obligatory onsen episode!

    Mmmm onsen…

P.S: I heard Shigofumi 8 was edited/censored. Anyone knows what was removed or edited?

    More random pics.
