With no doubt that HD-DVD is pretty much in a hot soup (or prolly the soup has spilled and into the drain), it could be possible that Microsoft might have plans for a Bluray drive to a higher end of the Xbox 360 (or a new bluray add-on). Nothing is official yet but discussions are on the way.
The newspaper said that there is also the possibility of an internal Blu-ray drive being incorporated into a new, more expensive “premium” 360 model, as it is already in the PlayStation 3. Thusly, Sony would earn royalties from sales of a rival console–a first for the game industry.

I would love to see more devices embracing new technology such as the blu-ray.

Microsoft said back in 2006 that they would may manufacture a Blu-ray drive if it should win the format war (which it did).
The current 360 roadmap says there are about two more hardware revisions left. Whether this means different SKUs or not, I don’t know. I wouldn’t count on it, however, because I believe Microsoft intends to push their next console probably within the next two years.
And it’d be nice to see newer devices (such as the Apple MacBook and MacBook Pro) support Blu-ray, but only as an option and if it’s not required (in the case of game consoles). We still do not if Blu-ray will win at the end of all this, because digital distribution seems to be catching on in all formats including video, music, and games (Steam, XBLA, PSN, WiiWare/VC).
Until consumers actually demand the quality of Blu-ray (most won’t tell the difference and won’t care about the difference; or maybe their DVD player or HDTV upscales it automatically so they’ll never see why they must get Blu-ray), we won’t be seeing Blu-ray as a popular format. Manufacturers may shove it down our throats, but that doesn’t necessarily mean Blu-ray will replace DVD in the next five years.

with Sony winning the HD movie war I think they have a high chance to beat Digital Distribution. not everyone around the world has Super fast broadband. Also Blu-Ray will be a cheap alternative to do backups of your digital downloads.
It will become mainstream one day like DVD and I hope sooner when the BD-R Drives prices fall. There are other uses for Blu-Ray Besides games and movies.
