My wallet looks just as battered as them…and definitely less happy too…
And here it is, my haul from the event.
Here’s my damage report after human obstacle course that is the IT Show 2008. For those who don’t know what this is, go read my earlier post.
Acquisitions:-
1) 1 TB Western Digital External Hard Drive
2) Panasonic Lumix FS3
Acquisition 1: 1 TB Western Digital My Book Essentials External Hard Drive
Damage: S$300

Got this one for storing my “stuff”. My 250GB HD recently went maxed out on me 4 times in the last 2 months so I needed somewhere to put my “stuff”. That and $300 for something like this was a steal. The bad side about this is probably that the casing only has USB output. While that can be easily resolved, I’m too lazy to dismantle the casing. ^^;

OMG Freebies!
The main reason I went to the show was to get a camera that takes more decent photos. And has a longer battery life since my old one runs on AA batteries. After a late night of research and a day of squeezing past countless bodies and promoters with loudhailers to try out the cameras, I finally settled on this. And just look at all the freebies i got!
From top left:-
- Camera tripod
- USB card reader
- Battery Operated Phone Charger (for those times you just can’t find a phone charger)
- Camera Pouch
- 2 x 4GB Kingston SDHC cards, Class 4 (the biggest haul)
- screen protector
- Lens Cleaning Kit
Most people would get a 4GB SDHC and 2 x 2GB SD cards as a freebie. But since I went down with a friend to buy together, we managed to bargain the 2 x 2GB SD to a 4GB SDHC instead. Sweet.
