you really need to broaden your range of animes to watch. although code geass is mecha, the focus isn’t the mecha portion of it. it’s a really epic anime that will leave you craving for each episode and dripping with tears. try it before you decide you won’t watch it anymore. i guarantee you’ll like it ^^.

for soul eater, i’m glad you’ll give it a try because though it’s classified as shounen (i think?), the comedy in it itself is enough a reason to watch it. and its definitely not another bleach XP.

as for vampire knight, i’m surprised that you’re jumping at that one but completely shutting out code geass. well, just in my opinion, vampire knight was one of those animes where it looks good and you think it’s good so you watch it. after watching some of it, i noticed that even though i sort of liked it, i couldn’t recommend it to anyone for a reason. something about the show was bothering me and after thinking about it, i found the reason. the anime is an ATTEMPT to create a bloody/dramatic vampire story and hence, they try to hard. if you don’t agree with me, thats fine but i’m just saying, in the episodes, they use cliche fear factors (ex. blood hallucinations, lost memories, etc). and again, it seems they’re trying to hard to make it all vampire-ish. there are red roses EVERYWHERE. in my opinion, it seems like a kid version of a vampire anime XP again, this is MY opinion so if you or anyone else in this thread doesn’t agree, so be it. but if vampire knight satisfies you, i definitely recommend you give code geass a try. (i’ve seen over 50 animes in my life time and i’ve read over 60 mangas so you can trust me on this. i’ve recommended many animes to others with satisfied results too ^^.)

DC II SS
RD Senno Chosashitsu

I’m a big fan of the Da Capo series and although DC II somewhat derailed, I’m hoping DC II SS will justify everything.

Senno Chosashitsu is a MUST WATCH because it pushes the boundaries (I read a preview article about the inspirations for this series) of modern anime and if it catches on, will further evolve anime as it is. When I mention evolve, I mean stuff like: “EVANGELION”, “AKIRA”, “DORAEMON”. I hope this one doesn’t disappoint!

RD Senno Chousashitsu- Original story by Masamune Shirow of Ghost in the Shell fame.
Toshokan Sensou- If it’s anything like R.O.D. I’m all for it.
Itazura na Kiss- taking place over 10years draws me into this one
Soul Eater- Same reason as you guys BONES did pretty good job with Eureka 7
Blassreiter- Pure Eye candy from what I’ve seen thus far

Shows not listed I am interested in:
Golgo 13- supposed father of GAR
Macross Frontier- Haven’t seen the previous versions of this franchise but the pilot episode had plenty of eye candy and maybe even a plot to boot.
Nabari no Ou- just attracted to the secret world kinda vibe
Kamen no Maid Guy- the title
Kaiba (if anyone subs it)- they say it’s supposed to be weird; i like weird. And the seiyuu talent is undeniable. Mamiko Noto, Houkou Kuwashima and Romi Paku.
Nijuu Menzou Musume- Interesting combination of production studios could be really bad or good. Also Aya Hirano and Rina Satou.

3 big maybes are Kyouran Kazoku Nikki, Kure-nai and Crystal blaze if I knew anything more about it than the promo has a gun and a glass of whiskey.
