Hirose and Hayami bask in their new found love after that moonlit confession last episode.
[Summary]
Life takes a turn for the better as Hayami and Hirose’s relationship slowly grows closer.

The breakfast of love
But will this budding love last?
Not if the old man has anything to say about it.

OMG! Stalker!
I have been wondering why the old man seems so calm over the past 2 episodes after Hayami and Hotaru dealt a massive blow to his plans of Hirose domination. At first I put it to him possibly resigning to fate. Guess I was wrong.
Apparently he has been biding his time, allowing Hayami to get closer to Hirose before unleashing an attack far more deadly and insidious than burning Hayami’s house. The revelation that it was Hayami’s familty that drove Hirose’s mother to commit suicide.

Obviously, this effectively drives a wedge right between Hirose and Hayami. Hirose, ever the nice guy, doesn’t blame Hayami at all but still cannot bring himself to forget the trauma of losing his mother.
Hayami, on the other hand, feels she is to blame in some way and becomes guilty of their relationship.
Finally, while daydreaming, Hirose accidentally blurts out his inner accusations to a shocked Hayami, thereby causing her to run out of the house and into a raging thunderstorm.

She vents her frustration on a freshly built dyke but is discovered by Goons A and B. Accused of trying to destroy the dyke and thus flooding the village, Hayami gets the cockroach treatment yet again.

[Overall Impressions]
With this, the show has come full circle as we return back to the scene in the first episode, this time with much more clarity about the situation.
Got to give it to the old man. Biding his time like that and timing his attack for maximum emotional damage on all three targets, Hirose, Hayami and Hotaru.

Also, Hirose’s story finally comes through as we discover his orgins, the son of parents who eloped against the wishes of the Kohinata and Hirose families. The pressure placed upon them by the Kohinata family was what drove Hirose’ mother to suicide. A big blow to both Hirose and Hayami I must say.

Morever, it looks like Otoha’s cryptic warning about “it not lasting forever” is coming true as Hirose’s sight begins to fade.

Hirose starting to lose his sight is an indication they didn’t just threw that part in for fanservice purposes. Of which I am really glad. It would be interesting to see how Hirose deals with his diminishing eyesight while grappling with the terrible truth of his mother’s suicide. Can he pick up the pieces and get Hayami to return to him?
And for once, we have ourselves a serious preview. The next title is [Hirose]. What will he do?

As usual, random pics.

Aww…she doesn’t know how to use a vacuum…

Cute as usual, eyecatch is.
