Despite it being a sunday, the day started out pretty bad with a rather nasty downpour that didn’t seem like it would stop.
However, as we all know, Cosplayers and Anime fans are blessed with the unfarthomable powers of imagination, weather manipulation and all sorts of other whatnot. Therefore, a little downpour like this is nothing against our passionate burning spirit. That and a little ritual sacrifice of course.

A sizable crowd was there to attend the event, not to mention there were a good number of onlookers since Vivocity is the stopping point for people taking the monorail to visit Sentosa, Singapore’s island resort (50% of which is incidentally curently undergoing massive reconstruction). Hence, locals and tourists alike were there to lend their oogling eyes.
Though the stalls there were few in number, they did sell some pretty interesting stuff. Was really tempted to get one of those swords but my wallet is still hurting from the IT Show 2008 as well as my figurine buys so I guess I’ll pass this time round. They even had Misa-misa promote their stuff.

There was love in the air as well as long lost lovers found each other again and wept whilst they recall the good times they once had… Okay, I made that one up. But you gotta love this shot.

Spotted quite a few familiar series there like Naruto, Prince of Tennis, Death Note, Ouran High School Host Club. Even Team Fortress 2 and characters from the manga Pokemon Adventures showed up.

All in all an enjoyable event. Kudos to the organisers, cosplayers and also to the various security personnel seen around the premises for keeping us safe from a certain toilet breaking escapee. Or maybe they were there to keep us safe from ourselves. Or the cosplayers safe from us. Who cares? ^^
