It’s summer break in Clannad. With Nagisa’s story over (not all of it), KyoAni decided to do an extra episode of Clannad. This episode shows some romantic and funny moments from Tomoya and Nagisa. Sunohara’s sister, Mei also makes an appearance in this episode and she is no doubt one of the highlight of the episode. Why do I use a Kyou image above? Because you won’t see much of it after this..

This is the last episode of Clannad before the 24th episode that will be released much later. You guys probably won’t see a Clannad article from me for a long time after this. So, here’s CLANNAD 23…

The episode starts off with Tomoya and Nagisa trying to hold each other’s hand. Holding hands, something that a couple always do yet both Tomoya and Nagisa find it hard to do so. Well, it is still early and none of them have any experience of doing so, and they look cute with their embarrassed face.

Nice interruption~

Yea, Kyou interrupted them. But I don’t think Kyou has anything against Nagisa for being with Tomoya. I think she gave up on Tomoya already. So, that interruption was meant to be a joke. I think that is awesome, lol. As most of you probably know, I’m a Kyou fan and every scene that has Kyou in it is awesome.

As for Tomoyo, maybe those two just don’t get along well. Although both of them have a lot in common, for example, both of them are cute and have hurt Sunohara before. Also, both of them are perfect girlfriend/wife material as some of you might say. But I still pick Kyou over Tomoyo any day..

All the girls are interested in Nagisa’s relationship with Tomoya. Although they have fought over Tomoya before, but now they are different. They can accept the fact that Tomoya is Nagisa’s now. This is how I like it. Unlike a certain show that ends up with a NICE BOAT while fighting over the main lead. Well, I’m still wondering how True Tears will end…

It’s Mei-chan!

It’s Mei-han! It’s good to have her back. Mei-chan decided to stay here during the summer break. Looks like she is closer to her friends here than her friends in her school. Or maybe she just wants to visit her brother (lucky guy..).

Sunohara only cleans his room when Mei comes to visit. Also, what’s with Sunohara with the books in the picture above…

They are enjoying a meal to together. It sure is nice. They are eating soumen if I’m not mistaken (correct me if I’m wrong). Soumen is usually eaten in the summer and I saw it in an anime before but can’t remember which anime..

Akio is GAR

Akio is GAR. After an excellent performance in the previous episode, he still have his GARness in this episode. Akio is the first character to show me the true meaning of GAR. Thus, the most GAR character ever..

Lies.. Mei is a good liar. She can still manage to show a cute face event after eating the bread. I want to see characters other than Akio that makes Sanae cry over her bread. But there are still no character man enough to do so.. Other than Akio of course..

Also, every time Sanae shows up with her bread, it reminds me of Akiko and her jam. So, which do you think will taste better? Sanae’s bread or Akiko’s jam?

Looks like Tomoya is trying to be GAR here. There are big chances that he gets his GARness from Akio. But still, no one can defeat the great Akio..

Mei is awesome. I’m surprised at this scene. Not only she is cute, she is also good at selling things.

Lol. I love the way Akio quickly and suddenly saying “I love you” to avoid Sanae from crying. It is so funny..

Poor Sunohara. Getting kicked out from his own room by his own sister. He cried and went somewhere after that. It is still funny though. I can’t help it but to laugh at Sunohara all the time..

I’m pretty sure that Akio wants Tomoya to say it so he can avoid unnecessary problem. Tomoya pretend to not know about it, so Akio said it anyway..

I LOL every time I see this from Akio and Sanae. Even though happens a lot, it never gets boring..

LOL. The funniest scene in this episode. I love the expression on Tomoya’s face. That made the scene twice as funny.

So it was Mei-chan’s scheme after all. Even though some of you might figured it out from the beginning but I didn’t suspect Mei at all. Now this proves that Sunohara and Mei are related. Both of them are capable of doing things like this..

The couple can finally hold hands by the end of the episode. Thanks to Mei that is. To me, this scene is a better ending than the one in the 22nd episode.

With that, Clannad has ended..

Except, not really…

It is confirmed that Clannad ~After Story~ is in production, as I expected. There is no way that 22 episodes will be enough. So a 2nd season is the right thing to do. I want the next season to be more interesting and I want more Kyou in it. But the After Story is Nagisa’s so I doubt Kyou will have anything to do with it, or even appear in After Story.. No…

Well, this is certainly good news for me. I think that it is better to do more Clannad first before Haruhi 2, so they can do a better job at Haruhi 2, and if possible, make a lot of episode for Haruhi 2. I certainly won’t mind that. Let Clannad have the attention for now while we wait for Haruhi 2.

I still can’t get enough of Clannad. The anime was not enough for me. I will certainly play the visual novel. I’m sure that there are lot of story and scenes in the visual novel that was not shown in the anime. All I need now is the game and the translation for it..

I’m surprised that KyoAni is taking a break for the Spring Season. So, 3 whole months without a KyoAni anime.. Oh well…
