After a boring episode previously (episode 49 which I didn’t blog for that reason), Hayate No Gotoku! got back on track and this episode is filled with funny scenes. Nagi and Ayumu (Hamster) participated in the High School Girls Ultra Quiz for the prize that the winner will get. Here’s Hayate No Gotoku! - 50..

I didn’t know that. I learned something new today. I wonder why they do that.. Japan sure is unique..huh…

Nagi and Maria still want to see Hayate cross-dressing. Maria was angry and made a “tch..” sound because Hayate didn’t want to do so. I did expect Maria to be down a little but I didn’t expect Maria to make that “tch..” sound. It made me scared of her a little…

In the japanese language, some sentences can be referred to anyone if they didn’t use the “watashi” or the “ore” or any other form of it. This can cause misunderstandings sometimes. Especially to me because I’m hopeless without subs. The same goes for Ayumu too in the above scene. So..be careful when you speak japanese..

It’s the NARRATOR! I can finally see the face behind the funny jokes that we see/hear in the anime. Well, they didn’t really show his face because he is so tall, we can only see his leg (which made it funny). Abe Maou also made an appearance. It has been a long time since her last appearance so it’s good to see her again.

I’m surprised that they actually agreed to pair up in the competition. As we all know, they don’t get along well, except in certain episodes (I forgot which episode). But, they are a good pair because each of them have their own knowledge of certain things. Also, lol at the ‘Main character/ Hamster’..

LOL at this one too. A copy of ‘Who Wants to be a Mil****naire. The choices are ‘yes’, ‘no’, and ‘don’t know’. I wonder what will happen if they chose ‘don’t know’.. But, the decided to call someone instead. No, not Hayate, it’s..

MARIA! They most probably did this to make up for the lack of screen time for Maria in this episode. Good idea, and Maria got the answer right too. She sure knows everything.., definitely deserved the ‘Hakuou’s best’ title..

Deshou? And everyone followed her answer.. So no one died because of the bomb..

The 3rd LOL goes to this one. Very funny. This is referring to a game where you need to get out of the room to finish it. The game is very hard to play by the way and I didn’t finish it. I don’t remember the name of the game or the link for it. If there are any kind souls out there, please provide me/us with the link. I really want to play the game again..

Nice job Nagi and also thank you. I will use the trick that Nagi used if it is the same as the real game..

Busted.. I love that episode. Firstly, in that episode, they got along well (which was rare). Secondly, Nagi experienced the life of a normal teenage girl in that episode. The third one, the slept together because Nagi was afraid to sleep alone (so adorable)..

Chiharu and Aika became the 2nd pair in the final round. This made up for their lack of screen time in the anime, but it is still not enough. They should have an episode focusing on them, but probably not in this season (yay for 2nd season). They do appear in every episode though, holding the preview sign..

Yay for more Hinagiku. The developer of the anime must have realized by now that the fanbase for Hinagiku is huge, bigger than any other character in Hayate No Gotoku!. So, nice job!

Hinagiku managed to answer all the questions correctly. Nagi should have answered a few questions, because she is a genius. She skipped grades and knows 8 languages, so why didn’t she answer any of the questions? Not quick enough?

Everyone else got closer to losing as a result to that. Hinagiku is afraid of heights, that’s why she answered the question so quickly. In Hinagiku’s case, that is not a flaw at all, it made her even more adorable instead..

I didn’t know that either. I went back and check, it was right.. The title is LONG..187 letters, crazy..

Nagi and Ayumu won! Mainly because of their teamwork and each have their own field of knowledge. Nagi got the trophy that looks like Hayate (the reason why she entered the competition). Ayumu got the shabu shabu coupon. Congratulations!

A good episode overall. Good enough to make me blog it, which the previous one failed to make me do so. Hayate and Maria got less screen time in this one. They should have made the competition open to everyone so that Hayate and Maria can participate alongside Nagi and Ayumu. Also, I still don’t understand why Nagi wanted to enter the competition, is it for the trophy alone? I mean, she can make an even bigger one with the money she has.
