First of all, Vampire Knight is AWESOME! So awesome that I just had to blog it. It is much better than what I expected. I love this anime. Why? Watch it yourself and I’m sure you will understand.
Vampire Knight - 1,

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this scene was, “What is that girl doing there?”, “Where are her parents?”, “What is she doing all alone?”. Then I found out that she doesn’t remember anything about herself. An unknown identity..perhaps it has something to do with the story…

The OP is very good and it fits the show well. The first time I heard this song in the Vampire Knight trailer/teaser, I didn’t like the song at all. But I love it after watching the real OP, thanks to the animation in it and I looped the OP a lot.

Day Class:
- Have a better uniform design than the Night Class (at least for me, I like the black color).
- Have more girls than boys, I suppose (but Yuuki is the only attractive one there)
- Have classes during the day (obviously).
- The learn the same thing as we do in class, I guess.
- Zero is in the day class!
- No VAMPIRES

Night Class
- Consist of good looking boys and girls. But more boys.
- Perhaps some of them are good and some of them are bad.
- Have a lot of fans from the Day Class.
- I don’t know what they learn, but I’m sure it’s not the same normal thing.
- VAMPIRES!

OMG, it’s Zero! He made a good entrance in the anime. He stopped that hentai Kaname from touching Yuuki any further. Meaning that he has some interests toward Yuuki and there is a rivalry between him and Kaname.

Didn’t expect this to be in the anime. I thought that Vampire Knight is an all serious anime and a gothic one too (haven’t red the manga by the way). In other words, I thought that Vampire Knight will be something like Trinity Blood. A damn serious anime that made me sleep while watching it.
Surprisingly, the anime made me laugh throughout the episode. I personally think that the 1st episode of Vampire Knight is funnier than Special A’s 1st episode. Nice.

How dare he.. Nope, he’s just jealous. Zero is awesome after all. But instead, that Aidou guy thinks that Kaname is better than Zero…
What does the Night Class students do anyway. They don’t study, they just hang out during the night..and maybe talk about who should they attack next or something..

Looks like we have 2 Tamaki here! The chairman of the school acts like Tamaki, wanting to be Yuuki’s daddy. Well, except Yuuki is her daughter (adopted). The other Tamaki is Zero with Miyano Mamoru being his seiyuu. As always, you can’t go wrong with Miyano Mamoru, he has a very good voice and it fits Zero well.

Well, well, look at here. It seems that Zero might be a vampire too. Or maybe half-human and half-vampire. It would be so cool if it was true. And please, to manga readers who read this, DON’T SPOIL ME BY TELLING ME THE TRUTH.

He even carries those tablets around with him..

Zero told us about his past so early in the anime. A bad vampire killed his parents. No wonder he hates Vampires so much. But still, I don’t like the fact that Zero revealed his past so early in the anime. I don’t want the anime to be serious too soon.
He also told us that he became a prefect so he can find a way to defeat the vampires. Get a vampire friend instead..

Yuuki can fight! Oh, no way!

That Aidou guy.. Looks like he is one of the bad ones..
Seriously, you can’t just put humans and vampires in the same school. This is what Zero meant by, most vampires still feed on humans, and they should do so because they are VAMPIRES! And not by eating tablets..lol…

It’s Zero! and he is holding a gun! Vampire + Gun = one of the best combination ever, just like Devil + Gun (Devil May Cry) and Shinigami + Gun (Soul Eater). But..can a gun hurt vampires? Not really, but Zero can make it possible..

You can’t just let Aidou go like that. Kick him out of the school or something.. I hate that guy..
Another sign of the rivalry between Zero and Kaname. Zero drags Yuuki away from Kaname every time. Yea, I’m scared of Kaname too. Acting ‘too cool’ can be creepy sometimes, especially when you’re a vampire. But I’m sure that Zero is not afraid of Kaname, he just hates him because…he is a vampire..

LOL! And Yuuki didn’t even mind when Zero entered the bathroom (not much anyway). This shows that they have a very close relationship, just like siblings. Not surprising because they were raised together so they spent a lot of their time together too. Also, what does Zero meant by “Yuuki doesn’t seem like a girl”? Yuuki is a girl and she acts like one too.

Cool tattoo. Or is it a scar left by a certain vampire. If that’s the case, maybe Zero became a vampire because he was bitten by one. Anyway, there must be a reason for that thing to be there.

Oh, oh. This is bad.. He can’t resist Yuuki, even after living with her for years. He must have been a strong one for not being a vampire towards Yuuki throughout these years. So, Zero, you can’t…

Kaname also can’t resist Yuuki. Is her blood that delicious? Is there a reason for her blood to be so? We’ll see…

Awesome episode. I haven’t red the manga but judging from the 1st episode, the story looks promising. The rivalry between Zero and Kaname is something that I’m looking forward to. I’m expecting a fight between those two later on..and find out who will win Yuuki in the end..
Animation is well done. I’m still not familiar with Studio Deen, but they did a great job here. Especially with the character designs. Yuuki and Zero looks great and so does the other characters too.
The seiyuu did a great job too. Horie Yui and Miyano Mamoru was awesome as always. Their voices suits their characters well. I don’t know about the other seiyuus because I only payed attention to those two.
Vampire Knight is the 1st anime of the season to make go ‘wow’. Itazura na Kiss and Special A failed to do so. So, Vampire Knight might be my favorite anime this Spring. I haven’t watched Soul Eater yet though..another anime that I’m looking forward too.
The anime have just started so there wasn’t anything much that I can say in this post.
Also, please DON’T POST ANY SPOILERS HERE. I certainly don’t want to be spoiled and I want to enjoy the anime as much as possible.
Side Note: Look’s like Vampire Knight is in my blogging list. I can only blog 2 animes per season because I don’t have enough time to do more. So, I’m still deciding between Special A and Soul Eater to be my 2nd one…
Also, this post appeared on the site late because I made a mistake with my post. I put it in ‘Unpublished’ and not in ‘Pending Review’. That’s why o0ga didn’t publish it.. I’m still clueless with Wordpress 2.5..lol…

This has been on my list, but it’s a bit more obvious from your entry (than some others) that the genre is shoujo comedy. Quite a bit of that floating around this season. Not that I’m complaining, or anything. xDD

@ Nagato: I LOVE shoujo comedy, my favorite genre. That’s why I’m more than happy that this season have Special A and of course, Vampire Knight. The other shoujo comedy this season is Itazura na Kiss, but the 1st episode failed to impress me..

My bishie eyecandy needs are fulfilled! Ep 1 is awesome. Can’t wait for more! I got so into it that I even marathoned the manga, since I’ve never read it before. xD
I’m a fan of the Headmaster! He does remind me of Ouran’s Tamaki too. Lol. I’m torn between Zero and Kaname… but broody guys always attract me, so I’m leaning towards Zero. ;)

Love Vampire Knight not a Shoujo Bishounen Fan but the story intrigues me.

I think dark and scary guys attract me so I guess it’ll be Kaname for me ^_^ But Zero also attracts me too ^_^ And that Aidou is so…scary but lame…Hope he gets into troble again.
