Need your ninja fix but can’t stand Naruto anymore? Wait no longer and check this out!

[Summary]

Ninjas live on in modern Japan, disguised as your average person. The various clans are searching for a powerful hijutsu (secret weapon) which will allow them to rule over the ninja world. This hijutsu resides within Rokujou Miharu. Discovery of this fact leads to him being hunted by the clans but is unexpectedly protected by one of them.

So, Miharu now has to accept his new situation and use his power to become the next king of the ninja world, hence the name of the show. Assuming he wants to or not. Lol.

Running at 13 episodes, Naruto this isn’t going to be. And that may be a good thing. While it is only the first episode, I certainly have my interest piqued. The backgrounds used throughout the show are pastel coloured backdrops i think, a bit similiar to True Tears but nowhere as well detailed.

Also, beyond the cool fights, it would seem Miharu loves playing mind games with his teacher and I’m betting this is going to be the one of the show’s sources of comedy.

Of course, the show isn’t just laughs and fights as Miharu does seem to have a rather dark past. This results in him being rather apathic and a bit emo.

I won’t guess too much since it’s only the first episode but I’ll say this much, if you could/have watch Naruto, you should give this a go.
