    Vampire Knight episode1 Shoku

    Summary:

Random Curiosity has a nice summary over at his site. And Setsuki has written up a post with Pics as well. The baisc plot is that Yuki Cross is rescued by Kaname, a Vampire at a young age and hence develops an affection for him. She does believe that vampires and humans can live together.

Later she goes to Cross Academy where there is a Day and Night Class for Humans and Vampires. She becomes a Prefect, which is to disguise her true job as a guardian to keep the Day Class from knowing that the Night Classmen are Vampires, but most of the time are spent keeping the fangirls away from Kaname and his group of handsome men at bay. Zero Kiryuu is the other “Prefect” tasked with the job and he and Kaname develop a kind of mutual relationship in this episode.

Towards the end of the episode its revealed that Zero is also a Vampire most probably cause he was bitten when he was orphaned by vampires that attacked his family, and has developed a sort of hatred against vampires. But Yuki does not know that and Zero tries his best to overcome his thirst for Yuki’s Blood.

    Preview:

Was just a Screen title which said “Memories of Blood”

    Thoughts:

I started watching Vampire Night recently and at the start of the anime things started to get a little like “ouran host club” with the Vampires of the night class acting like male hosts to the huge fans of Day Class girls, but lucky towards the end, plot twists arise with our main Guardian Hero Zero. I hope things will get more action packed with less of the comedy stuff as I am hoping for as I was intrigued with the Love story and vampire element to it. Overall despite it being adapted from a Shoujo Manga I liked the character designs and Yui Horie fits the role well for Yuki. Another Seiyu of interest is Susumu Chiba who plays “Welkin” in the SEGA PS3 game “Senjou no Valkyria” but did not have much screen time for his character in this episode.
