    • Banzai Beat forums going away

I want to thank everyone for making the forums fun. But due to spammers I just don't want to deal with it. They make hundreds of accounts and spam the living hell out of the forums.

so on that note I'm taking them offline due to very little use and I'm not watching my bandwidth bill be sucked up my spammers.

Thanks again and look forward to a new episode in the coming days.

  • Look! It’s tachikoma!

Watanuki goes to save the damsel in distress!

    [Summary]

Watanuki is and the Karasu Tengu are transported to a derelict house. With the help of the pipe fox that Yuuko sent with him, Watanuki enters the building in search of Zashiki-Warashi, braving the intense miasma that threatens to knock him out.

At the basement, Watanuki finds more than what he is looking for. There resides a Jorougumo, who holds Watanuki’s right eye, and of course Zashiki-Warashi. It would seem it was not really a kidnap of Zashi-Warashi but rather, when she went to beg Jorouhumo for Watanuki’s eye, fainted there from the miasma. Watanuki offers himself in exchange for Zashiki-Warashi but to no avail.

To cut a long story short, Watanuki saves Zashiki-Warashi but loses his right eye to the Jorougumo who swallows it. Apparently Watanuki’s eye holds quite some power and anyone who obtains it gets a “power boost”, to borrow game lingo. Those of you who have watched Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations should get the reference here.

Back home, Yuuko tells Watanuki that Doumeki has offered half of his right eye to Watanuki should he fail to get his eye back. And he accepts.

    [Overall Impressions]

    I just love this scene

So we reach the closing of this arc. Looks like Watanuki learned the lesson Yuuko has been hinting since episode 1. I guess caring for yourself is also a way of caring for others as well. Still no explaination to why Watanuki is so special. I have not read the manga so I wouldn’t know if such an explaination existed to begin with.

Now that Doumeki and Watanuki share the same eye, they are more linked together then ever before. Yuuko’s words once again coming true I guess.

Nothing much to say this episode. Kinda having writer’s block all of a sudden. Heh.

This was a sweet episode. For the first time in the whole series, Watanuki did something ballsy.
