~S.A~ Special A - 4, Brothers.Teacher

Kei’s little brother, Sui was introduced in this episode. Sui is having troubles with his tutors/teachers because they can’t stand Sui. So, Hikari stepped in and became Sui’s tutor. Throughout the whole episode, there are conflicts between Sui and Kei and they don’t get along well. Here’s Special A - 4..

These two..are very close friends huh.. Too close if you compare her with the other students (Kei is an exception). I can assume that Hikari and Akira have known each other for a long time. Childhood friends perhaps. Out of all the ’side-characters’, Akira is the one who gets the most screen time. Akira is an interesting character too, so I’m looking forward to see an episode focused on her, and less on Hikari and Kei..

I lol’ed at this one. Haruhi of Ouran gets a ‘trap’ for a father. Meanwhile, Kei gets a loli. Suspicious.. Kei looks older than his father and his father is more than twice the age of Kei. To have a face of a loli is ok, but to act like one (being immature) is..funny? Yea, funny..

Chibi-Kei. He is a brat and acts just like his older brother, except that he is not at the same level as Kei. But he is not trying to be like Kei (copying), he hates him instead. Siblings, that’s why.

I want more of this. Ryuu, Megumi, and Jun barely have any roles in this episode. The episode will not have any difference whether these 3 are in it or not. This includes Akira and Tadashi too. Why did they do that?

I actually love this part. Not because of the match. It’s because Kei agrees on the match without hesitating. That was cool and I love it. It shows that Hikari and Kei will have a match over anything and they have always done so. The weird thing is, Hikari always loses to Kei by a small amount. Just like this scene for example, Hikari lost to Kei by only 1 point. Coincidence? No, Kei just wants to annoy Hikari.

“A robot behind a human mask’. If you ask me, this sentence has two meanings.
1. A person who can do anything, just like a robot.
2. A person without feelings.
Sui is probably saying that Kei is a robot behind a human mask because Kei doesn’t have any feelings. Kei is cold to Sui, so..yea, that’s why..

Sui should follow what Hikari is doing. Hikari tries very hard to beat Kei even though she loses every time since she was little. In other words, never give up. But in this case, Sui didn’t even try to beat Kei, so that is not considered as ‘giving up’. It’s still hard for Sui to try to beat his brother because Kei is discouraging him to do so..

This is unsurprising. Kei obviously has a good intention to act cold towards Sui. This technique has been used A LOT. So, everyone should know that this was coming.

It’s her head that was hurt. So why did Sui carry her as if as her leg was injured. Her head will still hurt..

Talk about cheesy… Why does all Special A episodes so far ends in a ‘cheesy’ way. I don’t like it. Especially in this scene. Kei screaming ‘HIKARI!’ and falling down made it worse. And how did Kei knew that Hikari was injured..

When a cold person praises someone, it will have a bigger impact than when a nice person do so. Because a nice person always praises and sometimes you will get bored of it. They probably don’t mean what they say and they just say it to make you happy, even though it’s not true. A cold person on the other hand, they have to really mean it to praise someone.

Nothing much to say here. All I want to say is that Kei is not the person I expected him to be. I thought he was 100% cool. But by the end of episode 1, he blushed (lol). Episode 2 and 3 made it worse. And by this episode, well, I don’t think that he is cool at all. I think that he is only ‘trying’ to be cool and he did a great job at it.

I agree with you on this episode for the most part (actually, all of it). Anime!Kei is not as cool as I expected him to be. I think They should make his feelings toward Hikari and everything else more subtle… or something. T_T This is what comes of reading the manga first.
