Vampire Knight - 10,
I can’t believe that the episode number have 2 digits now (episode ‘10′). Time flies fast, and so did this episode. I was too focused watching this episode and didn’t realize that it was about to end. In other words, this is a good episode, more surprisingly, a good episode without comedy.
Some things have been explained in this episode. Firstly, Kurenai Maria IS Hiou Shizuka, just like what everyone thought so. What made it worse, Zero CAN’T kill her, because it will inflict pain on himself as well. So..I wonder how this will turn out. My guess is, maybe Kaname will kill her, since he’s the only one who can do it. But I don’t think he will do that unless Shizuka tries to hurt Yuuki. I don’t think Kaname really ‘hates’ Shizuka either, unlike the other students. Once again, no spoilers please..^^
The second revelation is about Zero’s twin brother, Ichiru. Apparently, Zero’s yaoi loving twincest twin brother is a lonely kid, and he loves no one other than Zero, and he admires his brother. More surprisingly, Zero didn’t find it to be weird at all. I know that ‘brotherly love’ often occurs in anime, but not in real life. Because that would be really weird. And I find that some scenes in the flashback only serves as fanservice (^^). Speaking of flashbacks, the ones in Vampire Knight are interesting, unlike certain other animes. (yes, I’m looking at you Narutards and Bleachtards)
During the time when Zero’s parents were killed, Ichiru didn’t find it shocking. And he was actually smiling at his bleeding brother. It’s like he was brainwashed by Shizuka or something. That is something I (and anyone else who doesn’t read the manga) don’t understand. But she definitely have done something to Ichiru at that time. Also, I can assume that Shizuka wasn’t planning to kill Zero. Because if she did, Zero would be long gone by now. She wants Zero to live in pain for the rest of his life, by being a vampire. That is worse than death itself.
As expected, Yuuki got into trouble again. No need for more explanations here. Thank goodness she was saved right on time by Kaname, and he put a spell on her so that she forgets what have happened.. I will be really angry if Kaname was only trying to confirm Yuuki’s memory loss during the time he asked her to accompany him during the dance. That is evil. Kaname..whose side is he on again?
There is one scene that I don’t understand about. It’s the scene when Kaname and Shizuka had a conversation. It’s like Kaname is ok with Shizuka being there, at the school. According to the chairman, Kaname was the one who recommended Shizuka to go there. He should know that Shizuka’s existence is trouble to Yuuki and all the other students.
I’m really looking forward to the next episode. Things are getting interesting now. They sure love to tease us with the cliffhangers.. Well, next episode is going to be awesome! (hopefully)

(do you remember me btw?4 *dies*)haha ^_^ Ichiru is so…gay towards Zero…LOL! I also did not realise that this episode is ending until they left me at this cliffhanger and the ending song started (even though I’m used to cliffhangers while watching code geass…). Even though I’ve read the manga and know what’s gonna happen next, I’m just being too excited on seeing Vampire knight with voices and moving images with colours. And it would have been better if Yuuki ran in and said “Maria, you…” instead of being saved by Kaname… *dies*(LOL)

i don’t understand why maria said “i will not forgive theft!”

@ wenwen: Of course I remember you. You’re the only one who commented on my last post (4 times)^_^. Maybe they are trying to tell us how much Ichiru ‘likes’ Zero. Even though I don’t approve of anything ‘yaoi’ related, I think that scene is necessary, or just fanservice. Cliffhangers are killing me, they love to tease us, it’s the same for Code Geass too. If Yuuki did that, maybe Maria will take Yuuki as hostage, and forces Zero to do something. I still don’t know what Maria’s true intentions..
Btw, which is better, the anime or the manga?
@ mana: Maybe she’s referring to the event where Zero (or his parents) ’stole’ the life of someone precious to her. You know during the flashback, Shizuka did say Zero’s parents ‘erased that person’. Or something is wrong with the translation. Anyway, we better off not knowing about it. Maybe there is something else not yet explained about it, and will be explained later.

oops…accidentally pressed enter before typing the rest… sorry…
That scene is shown in the manga as well, and it’s completely the same XD Oh ya, so maybe it’s better that Kaname stopped her… ^_^
um…I’m not sure yet but…both of them are equally good now ^_^ The anime is following very closely to the manga so I have no complains either, and the voice acting and music are perfect as well ^_^
There’s nothing wrong with the translation, you just have to wait for the later episodes (or maybe next) to find out that’s all ^_^ I won’t give nasty spoilers, LOL! XD ^_^
