Vampire Knight – 10,
I can’t believe that the episode number have 2 digits now (episode ‘10′). Time flies fast, and so did this episode. I was too focused watching this episode and didn’t realize that it was about to end. In other words, this is a good episode, more surprisingly, a good episode without comedy.
Some things have been explained in this episode. Firstly, Kurenai Maria IS Hiou Shizuka, just like what everyone thought so. What made it worse, Zero CAN’T kill her, because it will inflict pain on himself as well. So..I wonder how this will turn out. My guess is, maybe Kaname will kill her, since he’s the only one who can do it. But I don’t think he will do that unless Shizuka tries to hurt Yuuki. I don’t think Kaname really ‘hates’ Shizuka either, unlike the other students. Once again, no spoilers please..^^
The second revelation is about Zero’s twin brother, Ichiru. Apparently, Zero’s yaoi loving twincest twin brother is a lonely kid, and he loves no one other than Zero, and he admires his brother. More surprisingly, Zero didn’t find it to be weird at all. I know that ‘brotherly love’ often occurs in anime, but not in real life. Because that would be really weird. And I find that some scenes in the flashback only serves as fanservice (^^). Speaking of flashbacks, the ones in Vampire Knight are interesting, unlike certain other animes. (yes, I’m looking at you Narutards and Bleachtards)
During the time when Zero’s parents were killed, Ichiru didn’t find it shocking. And he was actually smiling at his bleeding brother. It’s like he was brainwashed by Shizuka or something. That is something I (and anyone else who doesn’t read the manga) don’t understand. But she definitely have done something to Ichiru at that time. Also, I can assume that Shizuka wasn’t planning to kill Zero. Because if she did, Zero would be long gone by now. She wants Zero to live in pain for the rest of his life, by being a vampire. That is worse than death itself.
As expected, Yuuki got into trouble again. No need for more explanations here. Thank goodness she was saved right on time by Kaname, and he put a spell on her so that she forgets what have happened.. I will be really angry if Kaname was only trying to confirm Yuuki’s memory loss during the time he asked her to accompany him during the dance. That is evil. Kaname..whose side is he on again?
There is one scene that I don’t understand about. It’s the scene when Kaname and Shizuka had a conversation. It’s like Kaname is ok with Shizuka being there, at the school. According to the chairman, Kaname was the one who recommended Shizuka to go there. He should know that Shizuka’s existence is trouble to Yuuki and all the other students.
I’m really looking forward to the next episode. Things are getting interesting now. They sure love to tease us with the cliffhangers.. Well, next episode is going to be awesome! (hopefully)
