Vampire Knight – 12,
This episode is awesome, it’s the best one so far. Now this is something that I want to watch. A lot of things happened in this episode, and it happened so fast. This happens and suddenly that happens, and in the end, THAT happened.
Maria told Yuuki the way to save Zero, by drinking her blood, by drinking his creator’s blood. From that point onwards, I was totally into the episode. One has to be thinking about how will Zero drink her blood, or should I say, will Zero drink her blood? But Zero did want to drink her blood. Well, unfortunately that didn’t happen in this episode, and it won’t happen in the upcoming episodes as well. Unless it still works when she is already dead. If it doesn’t work then..*sob*
I really want to see Zero turning into a true vampire. That will be awesome. With the true vampire’s power, he will be at the same level as the Night Class student. Which means, more awesome fights are to be expected! Especially a Zero vs Kaname one. That is, if Zero DOES turn into a true vampire…
Ichiru is really sad huh.. Being unappreciated by everyone around him, including Shizuka. Lol, not drinking his blood counts as well. No one pays attention to him and everyone choose his brother, Zero instead. I don’t know how he feels, but that must have been horrible for him. Now I understand why he is so angry towards Zero. Speaking of Ichiru, where did he and Shizuka were for the past few years? They suddenly appear and cause problems, and solves them as well.
Now lets talk about the Night Class students. Ichijou is popular as usual, with many fangirls asking him to dance with them. It was sweet of Kain to ask Ruka to dance with him. I can’t believe she didn’t accept it, poor Kain. But I can see a romantic relationship between the two in the future. Then, there’s Aidou, who disobeyed Kaname’s order. That came as a surprise to me. But he did it for Kaname.
It’s time for the highlight of the episode, Shizuka’s death. Shizuka didn’t put much of a fight didn’t she. All she did was reflect the bullets. Then she got owned by Kaname, easily. Usually, the ‘final boss’ will own the ‘good guy’ first and then the good guy will be overpowered and own the final boss later. But that won’t work in this anime. I think that dying this was is better in this anime, it’s simple yet very…I don’t quite know how to explain it, but I prefer it this way. Also, she knew that it will happen, yet she didn’t do anything about it. As if she was intending to die..
I’m interested to see what will happen to Kaname, and what will he do next. He was awesome in this episode, way more awesome than Zero. Kaname killed Shizuka just like that (without using vampire powers), while Zero had to try hard to do so, and he still didn’t kill her. Looks like Kaname is the one who ‘holds the keys to the story’. Maybe Kaname will be the focus in the upcoming episodes, since Zero’s story already ended. I think so..
Kaname mentioned something about ‘one who pulled the fate of the purebloods out of order’. Wow, now this is interesting. So there IS someone who is behind all this, the real final boss. They didn’t mention who that person is, but he/she must be really powerful (obviously). But with Kaname’s new power, he has a chance to defeat him. Again, they didn’t mention what power Kaname got. Also, Shizuka said that Kaname’s path will be filled with nothing but darkness, why she said that? Who knows. Lol, vague conversations…
All of you should notice that the animation quality of Vampire Knight is getting worse. It started in the last few episodes. I didn’t notice it at first, but in this episode, it was VERY obvious. That’s the only thing I didn’t like about the episode. Everything else is fine.
For those of you who didn’t know, Vampire Knight is getting a 2nd season. Hopefully next season will feature a better animation, just like the ones in the first few episodes. This season will have 13 episodes, and the 2nd season will have 13 episodes as well. I wonder why they did that…
Next episode will mark the end of the 1st season of Vampire Knight. Also the end of my Vampire Knight blogging journey (the 1st season that is). Well, we’ll see what will happen next week…
